We all do it, you think of something you should have said in a fight, or you imagine how you’ll navigate a future assumed argument with a significant other or coworker.

These are harmful because your body doesn’t know it’s imaginary, it reacts as if you’re in a life or death situation. This can raise your heart rate and blood pressure.

Any time you find yourself in an imaginary argument in your head, just do some square breathing: 4 second inhale, 4 second hold, 4 second exhale and another 4 second hold. Remind yourself that the argument is in your head and not actually happening.

I disagree, and refuse to discuss it further.

This is why imaginary numbers were invented... to factually support imaginary arguments.

Next time your SO makes up some imaginary bullshite, respond with "square root of negative one".

Argument should end right there.

So does exercise. By your logic, exercise is harmful.

If everyone does it then it’s natural and our bodies know how to manage the temporary stress.

I can literally imagine up an argument and scenario where someone pisses me off and ruin my mood and want to whip that persons arse IRL

I don’t know why I do it but I do

Worrying is paying a debt you don’t owe.

Remember that and it will bode well for you.
