Did Francis Scott Key not have sheet music with the lyrics? Why does everyone need to make it "their own"? You don't see Russians messing with their anthem like that.

Correct. I’ve never found him as good as his reputation as a vocalist. Tremendous picker, tho. He needs to learn how to sing the national anthem in a normal cadence. Leave all the nasal shite at home.

He actually didn't. It was just a poem until people noticed that the meter would fit the British drinking song "To Anachrion In Heaven".

I thought it was great. Loved the addition of the guitar. He stayed within his range (which is where folks usually get into trouble).
