Best hotel and bar near River Center

I've never booked a room in BR because I live 30 minutes away but I'm planning to surprise my wife with tickets to a concert she wants to go to at the River Center. I want to get a nice room within safe walking distance so we can drink and not worry about driving. It looks like the 3 options near there are the Hilton, Hotel Indigo and The Watermark. Which one should I go with? Looking for one as nice as possible, not just simply a place to crash. Also, a plus if there's a bar within walking distance between the River Center and the hotel we can stop at after the concert for a while. We're in our late 40's so something for an older crowd or maybe even if the hotel itself had a bar that was open late.
2 most important factors:
1. I'm not trying to get shot on this late night walk
2. I've been married for 29 years so all of this is an attempt to get laid with a possible BJ somewhere in the mix, so hook an old married baw up. LOL

Watermark is nice. Blend is a pretty cool bar. Cocha if you are looking for a restaurant.
We went to a concert at the River Center a few months ago and my wife and I are around your age. We walked around downtown (although we didn't stay the night). It was fine.

The Watermark. Short walk and a good restaurant right there at the hotel (Gregory)

She’ll be too tired after the concert, but good luck.

You won't need a room. You'll be shot by the time the concert is over, or on the way out.

Agreed on Watermark for an extra step up from the rest. The bar there is good. I have stayed at all three of those hotels in the past six months, walked to the River Center twice, and have lived to tell. We also went to the bar at Capital City Grill to meet our party before the function and it was good…comfortable spot to talk for a while, and the drinks were fine.
Good luck! Husband and I just made 30 years ourselves!

The Watermark has a very good restaurant as well.
