Whatever the cost, if we want to win a championship we need to spend what’s necessary for OG or Bridges.

Griffin can’t sit tight at this point and think we have a shot

no it doesn't. they dont need to anything drastic because it's not like we're a finals team right now

Suns did the move to try to win a Championship RIGHT NOW.

CP3 is 37 and Durant is 34. There window is a couple yrs max plus they better hope their squad stay healthy bc they sacrificed their depth to get KD.

Suns window was closed this reopened it but not for long. I’d love to make a move for another shooter but idk if we are a championship team this year. 2nd round maybe further but not finals. The team gets better then the following year maybe push all your chips in for anything that puts us over the top.

When fully healthy… which is the big caveat…. We probably are.

This Phoenix move probably shifts them above us

The Suns are in the same window as the Warriors and the Lakers (who’s not going to win).

I’m good with making a small move for a bench shooter. Trading away Hayes and/Graham for him would work for me.

Probably but it’s close and I agree with everyone else that the Suns move is for this year because it will age quickly and they have little left in the tank, while the Pels have a highly competitive roster that is younger and hold a ton of picks.

What makes me really laugh is how hard this craps on the Lakers win now move…screw them

Ive been against an OG trade but send it all for bridges. Better offensive player, and locked up on a good deal for 3 years after this. Graham + Hayes + Temple + Herb + 3-4 1sts

CJ Bridges Ingram Zion JV

with

Jose Dyson Naji Trey Nance to back them up

That is a great 10 deep playoff lineup

I think what has changed so far in terms of the dynamic of the Western Conference is it went from a conference where there were maybe 1-2 vet teams you could conceive of getting hot and making a run(Warriors, Clippers) and taking out conference favorites like Nuggets/Grizz, to now you probably have 3-5 teams that could be a real pest(Warriors, Clippers, Lakers, Suns, Mavs).

The west is definitely more stacked today than yesterday, and the gauntlet of the playoffs projects to be brutal.

I do think the Pels have to make a move to get a player like Claxton and more shooting. I just can not see us going past the second round if we roll into the playoffs near last in 3 points made and or current poor rim protection.

That's almost a better haul than they got for KD, Claxton better be included if we are giving up the best perimeter defender in the league and 4 firsts.

Cause JV is getting played off the court come playoff time, and the Pels need someone that can protect the rim, board, and switch, and Claxton is a model picture of that new type of big.

Now if we could somehow get bridges and claxton then we'd be cooking.

Graham + JV + Herb + Naji + however many 1sts it takes.

CJ Bridges BI Zion Claxton

That team is great. Bridges gives you more shooting and similar defense as herb. Claxton gives you elite rim protection and switchability at the 5 while providing less offense than JV

I think we’re still better than the Mavs when healthy. Also, I think we could still beat the Suns if healthy in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Because let’s not forget that CP3 will be gassed and won’t hold up against Jose. Also, we can throw bodies at Durant to hold him a little.

Not sure why people think they are going to trade Bridges, who was the centerpiece player of the trade.

you dont push all your chips to the pot on "probably". or really maybe.

if you can get an agile big to deal with PnR do it.
thats the hole to fill anyway.

Some of you are losing your freaking minds. Herb and 3-4 1sts; comical.

One of the Suns biggest issues lately has been mental fortitude. As we saw last year, it's fairly easy to get in Paul's head. Durant has always had a fairly frail ego, so it could get volatile in that locker room.

I honestly don't see how that makes us that much better. Claxton is only an upgrade over JV in a single area, but is worse in several areas. Bridges would be an upgrade to the starting lineup, but you're sending out 3 valuable rotation pieces for 2.

You don't see how a team who needs more shooting and rim protection would benefit from adding a shooter(who is also arguably the best wing defender in the NBA) and a DPOY candidate at center?

Suns aren’t as much of an issue as the Lakers. Lakers did the damn thing
