You're just proving my point.

You protestants are all like the Value Brand of Christianity. You pick and choose what parts of Christianity to follow in order to justify shitty beliefs (let's not forget that protestants are just former Catholics who decided to pick and choose what beliefs to follow). Some of the most truly evil people I have met in this world have all been either baptist or atheist.

Also, don't you find the "judge not" part a bit ironic given the subject of this thread?

13-407. Justification; use of physical force in defense of premises

A. A person or his agent in lawful possession or control of premises is justified in threatening to use deadly physical force or in threatening or using physical force against another when and to the extent that a reasonable person would believe it immediately necessary to prevent or terminate the commission or attempted commission of a criminal trespass by the other person in or upon the premises.

B. A person may use deadly physical force under subsection A only in the defense of himself or third persons as described in sections 13-405 and 13-406.

C. In this section, "premises" means any real property and any structure, movable or immovable, permanent or temporary, adapted for both human residence and lodging whether occupied or not.

AZ law also goes on to say this...

quote:

13-408. Justification; use of physical force in defense of property

A person is justified in using physical force against another when and to the extent that a reasonable person would believe it necessary to prevent what a reasonable person would believe is an attempt or commission by the other person of theft or criminal damage involving tangible movable property under his possession or control, but such person may use deadly physical force under these circumstances as provided in sections 13-405, 13-406 and 13-411.

and...

quote:

13-411. Justification; use of force in crime prevention; applicability

A. [b]A person is justified in threatening or using both physical force and deadly physical force against another if and to the extent the person reasonably believes that physical force or deadly physical force is immediately necessary to prevent the other's commission of arson of an occupied structure under section 13-1704, burglary in the second or first degree under section 13-1507 or 13-1508, kidnapping under section 13-1304, manslaughter under section 13-1103, second or first degree murder under section 13-1104 or 13-1105, sexual conduct with a minor under section 13-1405, sexual assault under section 13-1406, child molestation under section 13-1410, armed robbery under section 13-1904 or aggravated assault under section 13-1204, subsection A, paragraphs 1 and 2.

B. There is no duty to retreat before threatening or using physical force or deadly physical force justified by subsection A of this section.

C. A person is presumed to be acting reasonably for the purposes of this section if the person is acting to prevent what the person reasonably believes is the imminent or actual commission of any of the offenses listed in subsection A of this section.

D. This section includes the use or threatened use of physical force or deadly physical force in a person's home, residence, place of business, land the person owns or leases, conveyance of any kind, or any other place in this state where a person has a right to be.

Again, while you're grossly idiotic, when did this Political Talk board become Religious Talk board?

What would Jesus think of you damn wet naps? Majority of you simians are the equivalent to a wet paper bag. It held, then got weak with a little bit of substance.

I guess we were back in the 16th century. I’ve traced both sides of my family back to the 1700’s, no Catholics to my knowledge.

The old man didn’t send the criminal illegal to hell, he just arranged the meeting. I don’t know the circumstances here, and I’d bet you don’t either. From previous posts, it sounds like the guy was a repeat offender, which means at the very least he knew what he was doing was wrong, and illegal. Call me evil, no crocodile tears here.

Let's stop pretending like there isn't a massive overlap in religion and government. Religion has a massive influence in politics.

I'm guessing you applaud the actions of the rancher. But deep down, you know your feelings go against the basic fundamentals of what your religion believes in. Sure, you can always find a verse in the Bible you can twist and interpret to your liking. But deep down, we all know that having these feelings is still wrong and the verses we use to justify our shitty beliefs is not what our creator(s) meant by them.

I'm guessing it is whatever you damn want on the count of you southerners' blasphemous and lazy protestant religions.

You talk about substance, yet you don't even present one single argument. Your post is just one deflection and a couple of insults.

I can guarantee that this isnt accurate. That means if my 81 year old neighbor cuts through my lawn on his morning walk, I can just shoot him? Gonna need to see a link to a statute.

https://www.azcrimlaw.com/criminal-legal-defense/trespass/is-it-ever-legal-to-shoot-a-trespasser/

quote:

In general, property owners in Arizona are not allowed by law to employ deadly force in protecting their properties from trespassers. They may, however, use their guns to shoot at intruders in self-defense. This may only be applicable if they fear for their lives or if they believe that the intruder is capable of inflicting serious bodily harm, and is about to do so.

Being against murder does not make one a bleeding heart liberal

Should the illegal be there, no. Should the illegal be killed, no.

Every single one of us has trespassed in our lifetimes. Thank goodness we are alive to post here still.

If the illegal was no threat to the rancher, then he should of just called the authorities. It is a much larger debate on what the authorities would/should do, but the rancher had no right to be judge/jury/executioner without being threatened.

Anyone with half a brain knew this was coming...it was just a matter of time. And our brain-dead President is to blame for it all!
I find it very surprising that there aren't more killings of these illegals as they meander through our country at will.

The indisputable and flawless fact remaining is that the trespasser would still be alive if he hadn't crossed the border illegally...several times. FAFO.

Seems to read that in Arizona, you can kill a person who is attempting to have sex with someone who is a minor.

You’ll have to articulate the flaw, I’m a lazy, evil backslid Baptist. If you are equating you saying “you people are going to hell” with me saying “I guess we’ll see you there” then you’re an idiot.

There’s no irony in the old man shooting someone, because the only judging he did was judging that the guy was trespassing. If the criminal illegal went to heaven or hell, it has nothing to do with the man defending his property.

Nevermind. Vatican walls are 39 feet tall, in case you were wondering.

They'll shoot you dead if you squeeze through a window in Washington DC. There's also a fence up.

The marxists have abandoned the thread. That’s what happens when you start pointing out their utter hypocrisy.

But under Arizona law, deadly force is allowed on one's own property if the homeowner believes it 'immediately necessary' to prevent trespassing.

I don't know about y'all, but I heard the dead guy point at the frail old man and yell "MATALO!"

I think he was in reasonable, articulable fear for his life.

Interesting article about criminal prosecution in Vatican City.
