This is according to a new list published by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), a non-profit civil liberties group.
'These are the schools that stopped at nothing to crush faculty rights, destroy student expression, and leave guest speakers in the dust.'
The full list of troubling institutions: Hamline University, Collin College, Emerson University, University of Pennsylvania Law School, Loyola University New Orleans (NOLA), Texas A&M, Pennsylvania State University, Emporia State University, Tennessee Tech University, and the University of Oregon.
I think this is a very preliminary list, so feel free to add your own. I'm adding University of CA Berkley.

Texas A&M
But I’m told Texas -&M is super conservative.

One of those schools is not like the others.

Why do you think we’re on that list?

Hamline doesn’t surprise me. My high school classmates that went there were lib before attending, and super-lib after graduating. Nasty place, that Hamline. Macalester right down the street is too.

I'm really confused.
Conservative suppression or woke suppression?
I guess, to be fair, this guy is probably the poster boy for the gay conservative group. Not an Aggie, but I'm sure he's an Aggie at heart.

Got Tulane and Loyola confused.
TAMU... not on your life

Weird reasoning for a lot of those colleges.

Lie-oyla is a woke joke and Tulame is right there with those commies!

No offense intended at all, but your post shows you know little to nothing about TAMU.
Post all the gifs you want.
Those five kids are probably amongst the most conservative on campus—members of one of the oldest groups at the college/university.
Their organization’s origin tells the story why; but I understand why no one here is interested in that.
I can’t comment on the rationale behind the other schools included on the list.
But A&M? Water is wet.
We’re almost always unfairly targeted as a hateful university, when in truth, we’re friendly AF.

Yeah, it feels like they're trying really hard to be even-handed, but it just comes off as odd and anecdotal.
Making lists and rankings is lazy journalism. You want to report on unhinged leftists at Hamline? Go for it. You want to cover silly right-wing angst at TAMU? So be it. I think those are two separate stories, though, and deciding which stories are the worst stories is up to us, not the media.
