If you have the funds buy the outdoor rated one. They have the anti glare and are worth it. Just had a client install 2 and there is a significant difference as the sun sets over the addition. Note the outdoor ones are heavy as hell.

Indoor TV from Walmart but buy the 3 year protection plan which is hassle free. Even if it lasts 2.9 years, go swap it out the last month and keep taking advantage of it

I'd consider a projector. Very affordable, versatile, and really catches the eye. Purchased a really nice one on Amazon for just under 100. However, daytime viewing can sometimes be a problem if not enough shade.
If you're sold on a TV, definitely go the indoor route. Maybe upgrade to a midline model with decent antiglare/reflection reduction so your daytime viewing is comfortable. If daytime viewing is not your thing, disregard and go with what moves you.
Regardless, I would spend more money in protection. A cover is nice, but a hard shell offers better all-around protection. Here's a something to consider.

i have a 300 dollar TV on my porch. Very rarely ever cover it and it is going on about 5 years old

We’ve had a regular indoor TV on our patio for 2 years, and it’s been fine. Zero regrets.

I have two vizio’s on porch going strong for 7 years, no cover. I have had to replace a sound bar (in my opinion a must for outside). Did take them down twice for hurricanes.

I bought a Samsung 60” and a TV Shield 6 years ago, and it’s still working. The TV shield has enough room to house a small amp for the speakers as well as a power strip and apple TV.

Yep have always used an indoor. Now it is covered but I do love near the ocean and salt air. Never had a problem nor a need for an expensive one. Have always used one from inside when I wanted an upgrade.

I've had an inside tv outside under an 8' overhang for 2 years. I don't cover it. It's survived multiple winter nights at 0 degrees or so.

when i bought my house the previous owner left a 55 inch "outside" tv for me.
i thought it be cool and id do some outside watching. Log story short i didnt use it once, and took it down 4 years later. it was a standard inside type LG tv. Only covered with a durable tv cover. not particularly well protected (covered by patio or anything) from elements.
it still worked and looked just fine. sold it cheap to some kid who was happy as could be to take it.
TLDR: dont waste money if the "outside" tv is more. just get a good inside tv and cover it with durable tv cover.

i have 2 on my porches one is 10yrs old the other is 3 and they work just fine. both are black friday specials and not outdoor tv's. dont waste the money

Have a 75 inch Samsung terrace. We redid our outdoor kitchen and I struggled to spend the money on the tv but I put a 55inch tcl on the mantle above the outdoor fireplace and just couldn’t see it a lot of times during the day even though it was under the structure a good 20 feet. With the terrace I can see it from the house across the pool for Saturday afternoon college football.
Make no mistake, the only reason I bought it was being able to see it well. If you can see a regular tv it is way more cost effective and that’s the route I would have gone but this is a really nice tv.
I bought it from sams and it had an extra 4 year warranty through all state so I justified the cost per year if it breaks after warranty as acceptable since I enjoy sitting out there or being in the pool with the kids during the games. It cheaper than 5 lsu season tickets by a lot.
