there are still severe supply chain constraints that are hampering a ton of production, so while demand is still high for EV (all types including transit, every day use, etc) companies are still struggling to meet demand in part bc of this.

Also, banks have dried up a good bit to alot of companies.

Lots went on huge hiring sprees last year and are already trying to cut the jobs they added only months later.

Sorry to hear, you'll land on your feet quickly in this job market. Were you fully remote? Feel like those are the easiest for companies to include in a RIF. One reason I avoid applying for fully remote positions.

Sorry to hear it. My company is doing layoffs today. They laid off my memphis counterpart. Got a big “future” call in an hour where they’ll talk about how this is a good thing even though I’ll get to pick up her territory without a raise.

I’m glad they offered a severance. Hoping you get a new job by the end of that period.
