Big media are attacking him over it. Meanwhile Trump is busy with petty attacks.
I think Trump should be careful with antagonizing DeSantis too much, he might need his pardon when the democrat lock him up

If he actually pulls this off and can get rid of these programs he will be a legend and huge target for sky screamers. Can’t wait to watch the spin!

Nobody at that level gets locked up. All of the grandstanding is just part of the show to keep you distracted from what is really happening

That’s a CNN article for anyone that doesn’t like blind links.

Maybe he's read the book "Let Them Look West". It's a fictional account of a governor in Wyoming that took over the state and really cleaned up. One of the things was getting rid of a bunch of college programs.

If it ever came to this, DeSantis should do do for Trump what Trump did for the Jan. 6 protesters: pardon some rappers instead.

The bill already passed, I believe.

ETA:Newermind, DeSantis replaced board members and proposed the bill. The nee board members have already started with changes at New College.

Then there is this

quote:

These efforts include a memo DeSantis sent to all Florida colleges and universities requiring them to list programs and staff involved in diversity, equity and inclusion, or DEI, initiatives. The governor signed legislation last April to change the accreditation method for Florida schools and heighten performance review of tenured professors.

He is going to go after some of their jobs from what I take from that. Honestly that would make me chuckle. Some of these classes are breeding grounds for the stuff he wants to eliminate. He is protected by the law now. That is how they were able to get rid of the AP African American studies class. It is not the idea of having a class in that subject matter it is that the class curriculum is illegal. They openly use it as an indoctrination class more than an open study. They are created and serve as a platform for political view being pushed.

Wake me up when DeSantis does something against the WEF and Club for Growth initiative.

This is great, but unfortunately won't work.

Why won't this work? Academia, media, and administrative state work as a decentralized consensus network, similar to blockchains. When a "bad actor" university starts acting "irrationally", other universities will no longer hire graduated PhDs, no longer collaborate with this university's professors, and Ivy League PhDs will refuse to work at these universities. The media will start writing articles about how "bad" this campus is (crime, corruption, etc). The administrative state will starve the university of research funding (this is the big one).

For this to work, a large enough group of governors would have to implement this program to fight against the university consensus mechanism. This group of governors would also need to fund the research that would be lost due to administrative state pressure (unfortunately the States can't afford this). National media would still be a problem.

You have been listening too much to JJdork and Chamberpot.

DeSantis has repeatedly and strongly spoke out against WEF policies.

He has gotten on stage and said "WEF policies are DOA in Florida". DOA stands for "dead on arrival" for those in Rio Linda.

WEF Policies are DOA

I liked this quote from the article:

quote:

Thankfully, for the people of Florida, Schwab and his WEF allies have not been able to “penetrate” DeSantis and never will.

Even if you're correct that'll never happen without someone leading from the front. DeSantis is doing that.

That’s a high level target. You don’t take them out without taking out those at the bottom. We have to take back control of our local institutions, courts, universities first and have people in place to push back against those pushing this crap.

There is nothing Desantis can do individually to affect the WEF
