Take a pic of you before the procedure and then one year later. You’ll see the difference.

You don’t need a vasectomy to accomplish this.

I did it because I wanted a lifetime of nutting freely with no worry of paying 18 years of child support.

You sound like someone who has had sex twice in their life. That or your sperm is weak as shite.

My wife was on the pill and my swimmers still got up in there to make number 2.

I already passed on my genetics with 2 male children. Procedure is a lot easier for me to go through than it was for my wife. I can now spray guts with baby batter without discretion. She still has to deal with all the bullshite and responsibility of having a functioning baby factory.

I'm 41 with 2 daughters. I don't want anymore kids. FTR, wife and I tried twice and I hit the bullseye both times. It's a miracle I don't have more kids out there. I didn't want to test my luck any longer.

It was painless other than a little lingering soreness

I’m recovering at this moment. My doctor started before the numbing stuff to full effect and can confirm it was not painless . I ended up needing three shots and still felt it some. That’s when the Valium stopped being effective! I would do it again though since it literally only lasted ten minutes. I only have some soreness and dull aches now that are getting drastically better each day. It’s so much less stressful on my body than a tubal ligation would be on my wife’s body so it was a no-brainer.

Oof. I have heard a few stories similar to yours and it doesn’t sound like much fun. Makes me appreciate the fact that my experience was about as smooth as can be. Worst part for me was the sensitivity during the healing process. Soreness lasted only a few days but move my leg wrong or get a ball thrown at my sack by one of the kids and I knew it real quick . That part lasted a few weeks at least.

I heard that March is the most popular time for men to have a vasectomy because of March Madness. 2-3 Days at home watching basketball all day. Probably a lot of threads popping up because you would have to make your appointment now to get the ideal time slot.

From Google:
The risk of chromosomal abnormality increases with maternal age. The chance of having a child affected by Down syndrome increases from about 1 in 1,250 for a woman who conceives at age 25, to about 1 in 100 for a woman who conceives at age 40.

Typically most men who get them are at an age where they are happy with the number of kids they have and decided that this procedure is lowest risk and safest way to make sure that doesn't happen. I say safest because birth control is not healthy for women to be on. Big phrama can say what they want but any drug that lowers a woman’s normal estrogen level is not natural and side effects are inevitable.
No need to explain condoms, that’s a given. NFP requires discipline and limits opportunity. The surgical procedure for a woman to get fixed has a higher complication rate. Fathers day is an annual reminder that pull and pray doesn’t keep a baby away.

Lastly, if there ever was a change of heart, there is a chance to have a surgery to reattach the tubes. Also from google:
If you had your Is a vasectomy reversal worth it?
vasectomy less than 10 years ago, success rates in your being able to produce sperm in your ejaculate again are 95% or higher after a vasectomy reversal.

Everything you said is spot on and played huge roles in me getting one. I’m 37 and my wife is 36, we have two kids already, things are only getting more expensive, and the odds of an oops baby having developmental problems are only increasing at our age now. It’s just not worth the risk at our age. We’re done and a vasectomy is by far the easiest, most effective method.
