DB Strength W1D1 done.

Took 80 minutes with 2 minutes rest times.

The shoulder press goblet squat combo was deceivingly the hardest and I accidentally did an extra set. As soon as you pick up the dumbbell for goblet squats the front of your shoulders is lit up and stays that way.

Felt like a good all around workout. Happy to do some RFESS again.

That does sound like it would light up your shoulders!

D6 of Pump City in the books, blew up the legs with the last two AMRAP sets on squat, completed in one hour. Can't wait to try to get out of bed tom morning.

Just starting W1D1 of Arm Farm. Feels good to be back under a barbell. I took too much time off.

Edit- all done. Definitely lost a little strength with three weeks off.

Week 6 day 1 of Grasshopper completed this AM. I really liked the first 4 weeks when it was a 3 day program.

On Grasshopper also and right behind you. I finished W5D1 this morning. I'm actually anxious that it's back into a 4 day a week plan as I enjoy those more.

I'm looking at Hyper-Trophy or Pool Season (maybe Pump City) next. Those are based off recommendations here of 4 day/wk programs that focus on higher reps.

I started Filling out the hoodie yesterday. This increased reps of 21 to party sound interesting, so I may try that one in June.

W2D2 21 to party.

I raised my TM up on bench today. I wanted to do the 21 reps of bench with 225. So my TM is now whatever that calculates too

Added some carries superset with an rollouts at the end!

I wanted to start Hypertrophy this week after finishing Oak Tree last week.. Life got in the way. I was thinking about doing some low weight full body kettle bell workouts this week to keep my mind right until next week. Anyone have any suggestions for a full body KB workout?

Does anyone have timing on the Hypertrophy workouts? 1-1.5 hrs?

Finished Strongville with y'all on Friday. I was using my estimated 1RM and the only set I couldn't complete was the last set of 6 reps on bench on W4D3.

I wasn't crazy about working legs 4x/wk given that I haven't done heavy squats in years and I do miles of hiking up and down volcanic fields and mountains every weekend.

Headed to Tahoe for 2 weeks of skiing next week, so I hope the extra leg work helps with endurance. I'll get in some upper body workouts during ski days. After the trip, I plan to start Arm Farm.

Glad I finally looked into this "PPSA" thing y'all keep posting about on here. After 30+ years of lifting, I feel rejuvenated in the gym and I'm challenging myself more than usual by having more goals to accomplish on a daily basis.

Question: What's the name of the phone app some of y'all use?

I just checked my folder with all my saved workouts. No KB workouts.

So I've been doing a program that a friend of mine wrote. Some HIIT stuff still involving major lifts. This week we progressed to using 55% of 1RM on them. Definitely feeling it after doing 1-2 years of strength specific work.

Plan to do this for February and March to hopefully drop some body fat and jump back to strength training in April.

Completed W5D2 of Grasshopper this morning.

It just clicked that I was doing the fill-in-the-blank sets incorrect. I was using a set weight and just completing them all at the same weight. I wasn't increasing (or decreasing) the weights based on the previous set. Made those changes and adjustments today and WOW. By the time I got to the cardio SSs I definitely felt the 'pump' you all refer to. Those 4 sets of 20 skull crushers and 20 shrugs had me burning at the end.
