On squat, he has 405 pounds loaded on the bar, and the chains add another 120 pounds for total of 525 pounds.

As part if his weight training program, they monitor bench press carefully he says. Hurley says they rarely do max lifts for bench press, but he can do at least 12 reps of 225 pounds.

“LSU is not getting an itty bitty QB,” Hurley joked. “I just love the gym. It’s a big part of what I do on the field.

“There are so many pieces to playing the game and position at a high level. Dr. Tom Gormely, designs all of my lifts, sprints and arm care. He’s arguably one of the top minds in the fields of Sports Performance and Throwing. He programs all of my lifts and architects my throwing regimens with QB Coach Will Hewlett. Dr. Gormely understands sequencing, rotating, and all of the science behind throwing at an ‘elite level.’ He also has helped me to become strong, powerful and explosive in my lifts.”

Impressive for a 15 year old.

On the flip side, hope he doesn't hurt his back. I'm no expert, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that didn't look like the best form on the deadlift. Looks like he's lifting more with his back than his legs.

17 my boy. If nothing happens and incredibly the natural changing of the guard occurs, he'll start as a redshirt freshman (18) or redshirt sophomore (19).

Kids work outs are designed by a doctor?

They grow this kid in a lab? Who watched that Marinovich 30 for 30 as an instructional video?

Video isn’t the best but his back looks flat to me. He’s definitely not rounded and that’s where u get in trouble with the DL. That said ask any number of gym bros and they’ll prolly be split 50/50 whether DL’s are back day or leg day. Personally it’s legs, but I’m nearly 6,3. Elite athlete ESPECIALLY at that age my goodness. GDT’s.

And he's already bigger than Howard.

Is he an early enrollee?
