Near my house are railroad tracks that travel NW (287 hwy) into the panhandle of Texas and down to south Texas. I see lots of coal, cargo containers, etc most of the time.

Coming home after dark on Sunday, there was train sitting on the tracks, with about 3/4 to 1 mile of M1 Abrams and Bradley troop carriers. I thought to myself, this better not be going to Ukraine.

Supposedly the Pentagon says they would rather Leopard tanks be sent to Ukraine.

Kelsey Grammer would approve.

Go post this in the war thread.

Those keyboard warriors can’t wait to send Americans over to die in Ukraine.

The Germans approved sending their tanks to Ukraine

I hope there wasn't some agreement that they would only do it if we also send ours

We've sent those people enough of our shite

This has nothing to do with needing to make space (and creating a deficit/necessity) for the new Abrams X that was just shown off by General Dynamics. Right?

Hard to keep up for me but this is what I heard on Michael Savage (ep 512). Germans holding back until US commits. This is a bad sign.

Supposedly the US tanks are very fuel inefficient per the Colonel he interviews.

Probably pretty low on the reasons to care about this

Yeah that's the more troublesome part if true

Abrams uses a gas turbine engine originally designed for use in helicopters. I'm skeptical about Ukraine having the logistics capability to keep them fueled.

Keeping them fueled will not be the problem... Maintaining them from a maintenance standpoint will be the problem...

There is a reason most of the world utilizes old soviet equipment and it isn't because it performs better on the battlefield...

You live somewhere between Wichita Falls and Decatur and perhaps Ft. Worth.

Yep. Those shiny new state-of-the-art Abrams MBT's will arrive in Ukraine just in time for the Ruskies to capture them. Prolly still be sitting on the flatbed trailers and trucks.

And over in Afghanistan, the Taliban are learning how to fly those fancy Apache Attack Helicopters (they crashed at least one), and drive those Bradley Fighting Vehicles and Humvees. Quite an impressive armory our pal Plugs left them.

.......but but but Donald Trump is a meany.

Yep. I assume that will be done in Poland by nato 600 miles from the front.

Ukraine will be getting the old M1 not upgraded versions, likely used in Desert Storm in 1991 then put into storage shortly after upgraded tanks were produced. We have thousands in storage never to be used unless someone invades the USA

I think it's become obvious that Russia just will never quit. They have a dictator who can send every abled bodied man into the fight if he chooses. And he can make them fight for as long as he wants. He will try to kill every Ukrainian if he has to. And then when he is done he can focus on whatever is next. So I'm guessing the "experts" who advise the democracies of the world are thinking he is going to have to be defeated. I've read that the free European countries have to get in their minds they are at the start of a generational struggle against the Russians. The USA is the only country that can manage this situation.

For us dudes on the PoliRant, can't you just hardly wait until football season?

With our sick, demented leadership doing crap like this, I fear that we will one day wake up (or not) to a lot of these;

Crazy. Ukraine had over 2500 tanks before the war started.

Where did they go?

They pop us with these and some of us will pop them back. That's comforting. They won't beat us.

Our military uses rail service all the time to move equipment around. I wouldn't assume they are going to Ukraine. I've seen military trains for years going through my area. Long before this Ukraine/Russia War.
