What's hodson's input been on this case? I haven't been watching the thread closely so I don't know what his angle is.

Asking the occasional good question.

Recapping other people’s comments with accuracy that was comme ci comme ca.

Making comments that were sometimes odd and, at times, seemed like they were from a bot or from someone who was not a native English speaker.

Been this way since I was a child.

You've mentioned other things for sleep, but have you tried Doxepin? Its an antidepressant, but used off label for us mature individuals as it is non addictive and not shown to increase risk of alzheimer's like benadryl, Unisom, etc.. My husband struggles with insomnia, and was prescribed 10mg. It seems to do the trick (and as a result, I get some sleep too)

Thanks. But been there. Effectiveness limited.

The good news is I read a lot, and I have a lot of time to shitpost here. Also get some of my best ideas at night.

Do you anticipate any breaking info to come out before this goes to trial? How do these cases usually play out?

Are individuals allowed to disclose publicly what they provided to investigators? Or is all that under-wraps for now?

Probably. My guess is the defense will file a motion to suppress. My bigger guess is that the prosecution pleads out the 28 year old, and he flips on the others.

I think any witness can speak publicly on any matter. I’d say the prosecutor will ask its witnesses not to speak publicly, and they probably won’t.

The defendants can say anything they want. But they shouldn’t for their own sakes.

The family can say anything they want. Kerry Miller already gave a statement on their behalf. But unless defense counsel calls another “we don’t want to try this in the media” press conference that angers the family, I doubt they will say more.

It’s possible that there would be a public hearing on the revocation of the license held by Reggie’s. We could get some details from that.

At some point the prosecution will have to make Brady disclosures of exculpatory evidence. I’m thinking the defense attorneys will go straight to the press on that. I just don’t know what the deadline is.

In the words of Dan Mandingo, that’s all I got.

I don't want to derail this thread but I have followed it for a week or so and I may have missed this if it was already discussed.

I am confused about the Uber thing. If Madison didn't have a phone, how could she get an Uber? And if she didn't have an address to go to, how could she summon an Uber? It would make more sense if the guys stayed around until she called for an Uber even if she had to means to do that. And was she in any shape to maneuver the Uber app even if she had a phone?

Wasn't it cold that night? Did she even have a coat on? Seems like the cold would have gotten to her just standing on the side of the road.

I guess there's no way to know which direction she was headed or where she thought she was going prior to the accident.

I think I read somewhat that they videoed her exiting the vehicle and she was "OK" then, but I don't see how she would have been "OK" for long based on the location and the temperature.

That whole part of the story just doesn't make sense.

That she didn't have her phone was claimed by someone who posts as ___Flanagan. Apparently, he runs another bar in proximity to Reggie's. You'd have to search for it but it's in the thread.

So all your questions are being asked but no one knows the answers (at least on here).

The weather records I could find on line show it was 33 to 34F at 3AM 1/15/23. Several have stated it was raining. Not sure where that came from. I don't think it was raining (at that cold it would have been some sleet I suppose).

Exactly where she was offloaded is unknown. One would think some of the residences in the Pelican Lakes development would show the vehicle or her walking but haven't heard any reports of either.

Details about the Uber driver are few. One report says she was standing in the road. He has not been charged for anything.

Not sure how she didn't get really sick either. I think if I had that much to drink I would be throwing up. But maybe I'm just a lightweight.

I don't think she was trying to get an Uber, but to answer this, it is possible save places like home and other frequently used addresses in the Uber app.

She was trashed, had just been raped TWICE and some of you people are thinking about the viability of her getting an Uber.

She wanted out of the damn car and she'd figure the rest out later. That's likely as far as she thought it.

The rapist wanted her out of the damn car. That's as far as they thought or cared about it.

I agree with you. Just wondering how those guys think anyone would believe that they let her out (or put her out) assuming that she would be able to get an Uber. That part of their story makes no sense.

Can they be charged in her death by saying that they exhibited depraved indifference allowing her to be on a dark road in her condition?

EXCLUSIVE: 'Evil' teenager, 18, who 'raped' LSU student Madi Brooks, 19, recorded vulgar diss track where he calls woman b*****s and jokes about rival football player's death

Hildago had played against Washington previously when Denham Springs High took on Walker High School.

Roberson, 47, said that initially Washington approached her with condolences – before she discovered him laughing on the 'diss track'.

On the audio, he can be heard laughing as he says 'the sun left him dead' in reference to Hidalgo, as well as saying 'I got a Glock at home with lead. Anything I said for you purple and gold b*****, I don't give a f*** about any of y'all.'

Purple and gold is a reference to Denham Springs, as that is the color of their football uniform.

Washington can then be heard saying 'I will not be disrespected' and continues to brag about having a gun and referring to women in a derogatory way.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, Ashley said: 'They played football against each other, they were rivals but before after Remy passed, he was very pleasant and he told me how my son was wonderful, and he had a lot of respect for him.

'It made it even more of a shock that this happened, Remy was loved by everyone and changed people's lives – he brought light to the room.

'To hear something like this was just devastating to me. There were pictures going round of Remy as well - of them mocking him.

This too has been mentioned. And as I recall, yes they could be charged with something along these lines.

JudgeHolden - can you speak to this?

Not clearly.

They put her in a dangerous position. But they didn’t kill her.

Something similar to this was a question on my criminal law final in my first year of law school.
