So almost half the people on the road are blinded by your lights, but they are the assholes.

People riding around dark roads outside of the city with their high beams on is much more prevalent than a few cars or trucks with overly bright low beam headlights.
It seems like at least 1 in 4 keep their high beams on as they pass people and don’t switch them off like you’re supposed to. Back in the day everyone had the courtesy to turn them off as they approached you, which is how I do it. Nowadays people don’t GAF and keep them on.

OEM lights are not the issue, it's the aftermarket junk. The car was designed with the light adhering to regulation standards, but when you jack up a truck, put brighter LED lights, and not adjust the trajectory of the light relative to the new height of the light you have the aggravation you are talking about.
It's low class, cheesy, and a severe lack of consideration for others.

Same. Have a ‘21 Silverado with a small stock suspension lift that comes with the Z71. The Silverado stock lights are already bright as hell, and are eye level with cars. I just flash them back and keep moving.
You could adjust them down easily to offset the lift. It's one screw.

I'm convinced that every Nissan Altima's headlights default to bright with no method to dim.
40% of cars in middle GA have brights on 100% of the time. If I ever have the Michael Douglas "Falling Down" moment, it'll start with dickheads w/ riding with their brights on all over town.

Jeep drivers are the best. Aftermarket LEDs on alot of them

When I had my excursion I mounted a bright arse led light next to my hitch that I could turn on from the cabin for backing on to my boat or trailer. Secondarily, it came in useful for idiots who rode to close or had high beams on behind me.

Adaptive headlights have been a thing for a while. Are they still making vehicles without them?

I’m old enough to remember when it was rare to see someone riding along with their bright lights on. Now it’s like 20-30% of vehicles on the road. And you can flash your brights at them and they just keep trucking along. It’s almost like they accidentally turned them on at some point and are too stupid to know how to switch back to low beams.
I have. 2017 F150 2wd, completely stock I never use high beams but I get flashed like in on high beam all the time……lights a so much better today than they were 20 years ago. Speaking for myself, it’s rare to encounter truly blinding lights, but often see very bright lights. I think some of the angst is just get off my lawn thinking.

I get flashed alot with OEM lights.
I've also seen many vehicles with really bright OEM cone through the shop.
Edit to say not OEM housing, OEM bulbs in OEM housings on many new cars are super bright and sometimes blinding
I think some people just see bright lights and assume 1. They are aftermarket and the driver is an a hole or 2. The driver has their brights on and is an a hole but it's actually none of the above

Most of them either have front leveling kit or lifted truck and no headlight adjustment. It’s a simple screw in most cases to adjust the lights down. I did and it’s not a problem anymore.

I'm completely with you OP. I see a lot of people put brights on when on a busy interstate and it is absolutely moronic to me.

I thought flashing your lights at someone would get you killed. Gang initiation and all.

A huge problem is all of these rednecks throwing LEDs in their 99 Silverados in which the housings are not made for them. When you put LEDs or HIDs in normal housings, you get a lot of scatter and they throw light everywhere. I flash them, they flash me right back. Idiots.
I burn peoples eyes out when they flash me in my F-250.

That shite pisses me off.
Sounds like your headlights are out of alignment.

I don't even like LED taillights. The ones Toyota uses in particular burn my retinas. Frick Toyota.

Stop being trashy and adjust that shite. It’s easy.
