Who is your Elvis or John Lennon such that when they die you'll be shaken...

...or impressed/depressed by the passage of time?
I'm 50. For me it would be Robert Smith. He's getting old, I'm getting old.

Who?
My 16 year old made me take him to the Lynyrd Skynyrd crash site monument because he's really into them right now.

Jon Nodtveidt would probably top the list

Jim Croce was my Bubby Holly as a kid and Lennon was definitely a shocker.
Otherwise not much shakes me anymore, musically or with anything else. I just shake my head at what a clownworld shitshow so much has become.

here's a few, but I'm sure there are others
Jimmy Page
Ozzy
Steve Howe
Michael Schenker
None would be a surprise due to their age, but it would bum me out for sure

Mine already happened... Kurt Cobain.. the magnitude was immense..
Given he was still at the "top," his age, my age, his immense talent and just looking forward to the music he would have produced in the future...
There have been others I respect as much, but either they were older or I was older... their deaths just didnt have the same weight for me... I cant imagine anyone on the future that would either..

I’ll be really sad when she’s not with us any more.
I’m 72 and been to many a concerts, I’ve seen her more than anyone else.

Robert Plant for me though he's getting to the age where it won't really be a shock. It'll still suck though

Dickey Betts.
He retired a few years ago, but when he goes, I’ll be a wreck.

Willie will be a vacuum. Somewhat irrelevant at this point but also taken for granted since he’s still touring.
