The E46 M3 was in production after the end of the E39 M5.

It also highly depends on what you consider "good".

They probably made the cooling system's lifespan 75K though...

It was all downhill after they created the pinnacle of automobiles.

Love the E46, that's the only competition IMO. Just partial to the M5 due to what they were able to do with a sedan, there's something about the long wheelbase that does it for me. Plus the best wheels BMW ever produced.

They can keep everything non-M they’ve made since e 2005 IMO.

BMW makes less reliable, more problematic cars than Jaguar or Land Rover right now.

I'd get a new M5 for a daily, but wouldn't touch that thing after the warranty was up.

I'd love to get an E46 M3 for a weekend car, the E39 looks great but I wouldn't want that to be my toy.

I put some repops of those in 18" on my E46 convert years ago. Looked good on that car.

I love my 2018 M2 and it's widely considered the most fun BMW being made right now.

My E46 M3 6spd was an anomaly for me in that I kept it for 17 years and had zero significant issues with it in all that time. I reluctantly sold it for 73% of what I bought it for new at the height of the used car market last year but it only had 48k on the clock. We loved that car but for the money given it rarely got driven, We couldn't not sell it on to someone that would love it and drive it.

Those cars are underrated by most. It's a fun car to throw around a tight track or autocross course.

Late 90s early 2000s was peak bmw (pun intended) imo.

The v8 e90 m3 was cool but man things went downhill after that.

Statistically not true based on Consumer Reports. They had a big upswing recently. One of the big issues with BMWs is people treat them like shite out of warranty, the maintenance is too expensive or perceived to be too expensive and people drive them into the ground.

The link may or may not be behind a paywall, dunno since I subscribe.

It is a blast to drive down back twisty roads. Im really stoaked, here in Tampa they are finishing up a public race track that should be open in the spring. Going to be there first day with mine.
