What a bad decision in so many ways.
He doesn't want to compete for playing time at LSU so he goes to a division rival - formerly our most hated rival? What kind of legacy player does that?

Almost 20 years ago, there was an LSU quarterback commitment named Robert Lane, who decommitted and went to Ole Miss almost immediately after LSU signed JaMarcus Russell.
Lane never became the Ole Miss starting QB and was moved to tight end after David Cutcliffe was fired and Ed Orgeron became head coach. As for Russell, he played well enough at LSU to become the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft.
Here's hoping things work out just as well for LSU this time around.

Culotta kept saying this morning that Jamie didn’t want Walker to go to LSU because of what happened to him but Walker made a promise to his mom that he felt like he had to keep to her. My question is if Walker had a bad game like his dad did at Ole Miss or any other school, Walker would get the same treatment there just like his dad did at LSU. Jamie is making it sound like it’s just LSU that would do that.

Ban bet?
This dude is more likely to never play a down for ole miss than he is to be a problem for anyone. He has shown nothing at all to believe he will be a problem and in fact, what he has shown is the opposite. When he played he sucked and his decision making and willingness to compete leaves a lot to be desired also.

If true, that's a soft mentality. No wonder he went to Ole Miss, because schools like Alabama, Georgia, and even Florida to an extent would be critical against any player.
Glad Burrow and his father weren't concerned about what could happen to him at LSU. He easily could have taken the easier route and went to Cincy. And that was committing to an LSU program not known for good QB play. The situations are not the same, but my point is they weren't worried about pressure of the school or fan base. Howard could have been a legend at LSU, but bounced after one season.

This is so stupid. What exactly happened to Jamie Howard? Was he tarred and feathered in the quad?
No, he was criticized for being a bad QB. Same thing that has happened a thousand times here and everywhere else. Jesus, the persecution complex on this guy.

I'm baffled why people think those programs even wanted him.

Why is that funny? Dart was erratic and they lost the games he played poorly in. On a team with good skill guys and an offensive coach. He accounted for 14 TDs in 8 SEC games in a wide open offense that was playing from behind a lot.
If Howard is as good as people think he will push Dart, and he knows he will have that opportunity. Otherwise he wouldn’t go there.

Ole Miss has zero receivers that would start at most other SEC schools but they did have 2 running backs that would start at most other SEC schools. That’s why Dart didn’t have many TDs. He’s not a great QB but he’s still currently better than Howard. There are very few Ole Miss fans excited about the news of Howard.

I was specifically thinking of kids that left LSU. I know many transfers have had success elsewhere but not many that left LSU.
