What do you drive where even adolescent criminals decide to skip it?

Damn it all, people, you've missed the unwritten part of the story.

Lots of gunshots BUT not the usual one fatality. This time it was THREE fatalities. If that doesn't tell you flat out that the thugs have been working on target practice, nothing will

NOLA might just be entering a phase where even the most experienced medical staff can't save victims who were shot purposefully and accurately.

Be even more afraid.

And so far we've been lucky that the tourist aren't being hit with violent crime in any big way so the rest of the country/world really hasn't become spooked and are still coming to visit. On a local and regional level, more and more are deciding it's not worth coming to the city

Dude, you’ve got the NFL and NBA voicing concerns over the car burglaries in the City. You had a tourist beaten to death last month in his hotel room while his wife hid in the bathroom. You had a girl from Texas gunned down at Mardi Gras last year and a Danish tourist who was murdered at 6am. Within the last year. And those are just the ones i remember being discussed here. And you think tourists aren’t getting hit?

I guess you should define “in a big way”.

Like carjack a float?
Like carjack the riders of the float after the parade.

Like frick with spectators vehicles while the parade is ongoing.

And all this during night parades?

(Insert “Naw, frick That” gif here)

The list is more extensive than I’ve got imagination.

Usual Suspects?
15 rounds 3 dead, that's way above the usual suspects kill ratio.

Parade routes are normally safe, especially if you know where to go/not go.

What about 1 block off of the parade route?

I feel really sad right now. I grew up in that area. I feel sad for the memories of a once great neighborhood and city.

I'd say the unsafe area starts block 3-4 north of St Charles

Yeah I’ll take under at 2. Solid line tho. Maybe could start a NOLA crime bet book.

Yeah I understand your point.
So far though it national media hasn’t latched on how bad things are and tourism wasn’t hurting.
I think this year will be the tipping point with that though. It’s going to get a lot worse
