Kevin McCarthy and his allies are actively discussing adjourning the House until Thursday, but might not even have the votes to pull that off, CNN reports, citing multiple sources. McCarthy and crew are worried that they could lose more votes if they go to a fourth ballot, which would completely undermine their claims of regaining momentum.

I certainly hope they don't have the votes to postpone until Thursday...

It is clear that with current rules in place he is not desired in the roll of Speaker and there are enough votes to maintain the deadlock.

The only way McCarthy prevails is if some of his leftists friends cross over the aisle and I don’t see that happening.

McCarthy needs to step aside and let Scalise get elected. His ego is only going to embarrass him further.

My prediction is that Dems already told McCarthy they will get a few people to vote for him - provided they can do it at COB on Friday, like at a special midnight vote or something along those lines.

Democrats love McCarthy.

McCarthy is done.

They are trying to go to plan B. It's so enlightening to see those in power try to cling to it.

McCarthy has proven to be a full blown narcissist at this point. Most all of them
Only care about themselves and the American people are an afterthought. All they need is for is for our money!
