Two black guys calling each other the N word is nothing. It has nothing to do with anything important and everyone needs to stfu and leave it tf alone.

It's racist, woke bullshite. There is literally zero reason for capitalizing one race over another except bigotry and "equity".

But keep lecturing the rest of us.

Sage Ryan wasn't using the word in a complimentary way, but that is okay? Please explain why.

Bruh- are you really asking me to explain how it’s different?? Come on man…If (and I’m leaning in hard on the “IF”) you truly can’t understand the difference here, in the 21st Century- i suggest you do some personal google research and find out why ….but I’m betting heavily that you clearly understand why but you refuse to accept the outcome and would prefer to argue why Black people should let white people say it or something like that

I was at the hangout when a rapper (Kendrick Lamar maybe?) when he pulled an overweight white 20-something girl onstage to sing his song. She says the n-word he wrote for the song. He stops the music and chastises her onstage. Most bizarre, humiliating thing I’ve ever seen on a stage out of the hundreds of shows I’ve attended.

Wait…what am I lecturing people on?

I thought it was a given that WHITE people saying the N word was racist …

I’m only saying…y’all know why it’s inappropriate for WHITE ppl to say it and why y’all are intelligent to determine how a Black person saying it is different

I was at a karaoke bar near FSU- some WHITE dudes started singing a rap song …when it came to a “N” word…the crowd got kinda silent to see if they were gonna say it (it was a mixed crowd) - they didn’t, the crowd applauded and laughed - then some Black dude jumped on stage- just to say the “N” word when came around again lol…it was comical

The difference between the two incidents is that Scharfenstein’s use of the word was far, far, FAR less egregious

if lil ole Miss Scharfenstein’s tennis career falters no harm no foul but if she becomes a great tennis pro this will come back to bite her.

woke patrol already on alert.

i mean come on, she said with the ebonics slang!!

These threads always pop up, always some angry white dude who wants to be able to say the word. Funny thing is nothing is stopping them from saying it whenever they want.

Can you be anymore of a hypocrite? There I said it.

If it’s so bad that you will destroy somebody then the word needs to be completely banned. I mean a HS QB was singing a rap song. Somebody tweeted it and he lost his scholarship to Florida…..singing a rap song. Not saying it to anyone. Just singing!

God hates unjust scales and you think this comment applies to this conversation? Interesting
So, a group of people get together and say hey…this word is offensive and causes pain because of how/why/when it was used against us by white peppers . Don’t use any variation of it. ….but these same group of people use this word amongst themselves ….which doesn’t hold the same connotation because it’s not white people insulting them like has been historically done ….this is a double standard that God hates???
Bruh, God hates racism and He hates hate ….I can’t imagine He is stressing over a unequal applied double standard ….to give racist people a cover to hurt other people

If it’s so bad and “hateful” then why use? Why make songs with it? Why use it to refer to other people?

You wanna tell the tennis player and the LSU Admin that. And I don't think there are any white dudes in the FOV.

Would anything change if Mason Taylor said it in either context?

The thoughts of someone unable to really think.

What makes a person “white?” How do you know that persons genetic makeup?

How black should someone be in your simplistic unmanageable system to be granted leniency? Brown paper bag system or do you have a better color scale we should use?

How black is Sage? He looks kinda white to me.

The N word is just like guns...

A white person uses a gun we have a gun problem.

a black person uses a gun we have a poverty, education and inequity problem.

I want to hear if LSU address' both people using the same word.
