Can someone explain to a dummy how to post pics on T.D.?

I can’t figure it out. Can it be from your photo library, or does it need to be from google images? I don’t want to link it to a website.

You upload to an image hosting site.
Tinypic, imgur, etc.
Then you post the URL in image tags
[Img]Img URL[Img]

Myspace 2.0. I know nothing about computers and programming, but it seems like it should be a whole lot easier to post a pic in 2023.

Go to Google
Type in what you want
Click images
Click picture you want
May need to further right click to say view image in new tab
Copy the direct website to image
Paste link to img button on site
Bodda bing bodda boom

I used to use ImageBb but it's down right now.
I'm using postimages.org.
Then always copy "DIRECT LINK" then paste that into the image box or manually type out [img ] (your pasted image link[/ img] no spaces.

I tried to figure it out numerous times and finally gave up. It seems to be very inconsistent.
