Why isn't someone racist for picking Daniels? By the way, I wouldn't pick either because I don't have a clue.

This is probably the dumbest shite I have read on this message board. Willed my arse. Give me a break. He threw for 80 yards twice.

What were his other contributions in those games? Would LSU have won the 9 games they did with Bennett?

Bennett’s face is a huge deterrent.

Would you say the same about Tim Tebow or Johnny Manziel?

A guy can be a phenomenal college QB yet be a crappy NFL QB. The college and pro games are very different.

Bennett is a very good college QB. Really, really hard to deny that.

Will he be successful in the NFL? Who knows? But who cares? If he fails, it doesn't negate the huge success he's had in college.

Bennett is the biggest case of players around him making him look good. How many times did he throw a WR screen that went for 40+ yards. He isn’t good. He won’t be playing in the NFL. He’ll be making Canes commercials in Athens.

This. Bennett is a little better version of Danny Etling. He’s more athletic and has a stronger arm. Like Etling, he’s good enough to be an UFA and hold a clipboard for the taxi squad. Maybe he’s a 2nd stringer for a couple of years in the right situation. That’s about it. He’s a good college QB surrounded by elite talent in a system that works for him. That’s not a knock, either. He’s done the most possible with the ability he has and will likely end his career with two titles.

NFL teams don’t take fliers on guys they can pick up cheap as UFAs. They will take fliers on guys who are raw and have athleticism. Have you seen Malik Willis play QB for the Titans? Daniels could probably do better than him, though that’s not saying much. That’s just how most teams approach the draft.

I have respect for a walk on who worked his arse off and earned a starting spot as a QB. I wouldn’t choose him unless I had an offense that had any weaknesses. Then I would pick him in the mid rounds.

JD on the other hand is a project with great potential. Still mid to late rounds.

Bennet before JD.

He could throw for 400 every game next year and you’ll still harp on this.
He has never thrown for 400 yards in his 4 years starting. But he has thrown for 80 twice in one season.

Sorry he has done it once.

Daniels is not even a college QB.

Well TWO different coaching staffs says otherwise.

quote:

Bennett was invited to New York after winning one National Championship and now playing for another.

And Bennett has NEVER had to play for a team that was predicted to finish DEAD LAST in their division.

quote:

He threw for nearly 400 yards last night and played flawless in the 4th quarter.

Daniels was on pace to torch Georgia defense for 400 or more yards also before being taken out because of injury.

Doesn't matter what we'd do. But I'd bet good money Bennett won't be drafted and JD5 will be drafted before the 4th round.

You cannot compare what JD would have done with what Nuss did.

That is true for many present NFL QBs.
Bennett probably has as much football skill as Flynn and he staid longer than the top pick in the draft.
How many games has Jordan Love played. He has been in the League for several years. 1st round pick. Bennett could do that.

Neither guy will probably play much in the NFL but all I know is, SB went 10-12 for 120 yards and 2 TD’s in the 4th qtr., behind by 13 and helped them win by 1.
