We need immigrants - the legal kind.

Wages skyrocketed, then inflation is causing them to go up more.
So they are still around?
And we're not going to call the current wage environment a symptom of artIficial government intervention as well?

Great for Wage suppression for American citizens and the employers.
There is a reason families need dual incomes, but people are too ignorant to realize the illegal and legal immigrants dilute the workforce and suppresses income. Yet people bitch about "A Living Wage

fluffless argument as follows....
57 percent of US citizens already don't pay taxes. 100 percent of illegal immigrants don't pay taxes.
sure.. the government is corrupt AF. but this just adds millions of tax burdens. even if they are actually working. either they raise taxes to account for that or they print more money.... both have negative economical connotations for Joe America.

But OPs premise isn’t about helping them. It’s about them helping us. Europe is on pace to have an economic collapse, because they have no useful population to take over the reins of production when their elderly retire. The same is true with us if we didn’t have the immigrants. Our population pyramid is nearly an upside down triangle.

Many developed countries are forecasting large deficits of working age adults as compared to retirees, which poses significant and unpredictable stability challenges both socially and economically.
From that perspective, immigration is going to insulate the US from a lot of that, certainly as compared to China.
While there is some truth in that, it is stupid to simply open the floodgates to any third world warm body who would like to come to America. We need a strict merit system designed to target our specific needs not a free for all for cartels.
NYC is an immigrant landing zone and has been forever. Immigrants tend to group together so it is easy to see which ones improve their neighborhood and which one's do the opposite. Only, demprogs are too dumb or subversive to see the difference.
Immigration needs to serve America first, not create a welfare system for third world failed cultures.

I think not.
Seriously, we should put as much distance between Americans and crime, as possible. Just take note of the nine year old girl that gets sold in the link:

The majority of people for open borders in the US and probably the EU too are the same people who are staunch proponents of abortion. Let's kill our own children and bring in millions of low skill workers to replace the tens of millions of Americans we have murdered the past 50 years.
