It’s a bit weird but I always seem to have more fun on the Eve. The parties and playing Santa Claus when the kid goes to bed. Christmas Day almost feels over at noon.

It’s always been my fave. It’s sort of fading for me w grown kids. Maybe it will come back for me with grands. (Fingers crossed)

I prefer the drinks by the fire after all the formalities are done with.

I’m usually with you but we just had to put down our 12 year old pup today out of nowhere. Was at the vet for 6 hours. Today has been an absolute shite salad

It's the anticipation. All month (Now before Thxgiving) the Christmas movies are on TV, the Christmas lights are on houses, the Christmas music is on the radio... Then it's over in a flash and on the 26th people start to pack up. I blame it on everyone jumping over Thanksgiving in a rush to get to Christmas and burning out too fast. Really the two weeks leading up to Christmas is a truly magical time.

Always have, especially before my kids were grown and out of the house. Everything after noon on Christmas Day seems anti-climactic

Christmas wasn't much of a thing in my family. So it's lord of the rings and gumbo for me

I love Christmas Eve. My son is 16 now so we don’t have as much work as we used to so we can enjoy some wine and visiting more. Won’t be too long before he’s old enough to have a glass of wine with us.

Christmas Eve night is the vinegar strokes. Absolutely the best.

Christmas morning is the climax and then immediately onto the cleanup.

same with us, we do christmas eve together and open presents, then fade away as desired and meet for family christmas day lunch and then in our mind its done

it seems each generation has smaller family groups that get together for holidays, rather than have everyone going to grandma house for a big gathering. young people today dont seem to like big gatherings of family

Hard disagree....but that may ne shifting

For the longest it's been just me and my wife. That being said Christmas eve is mostly spent at her family's christmas....it's nice, but can also feel like a chore.

Christmas day was just us... We'd forget about everyone/everything...exchange gifts, get Chinese, make cocktails and just spend the whole day with each other..amazing.

We now have a son..5 months old so the whole sonata shared isn't nessecary, but I'm a still a special kinda excited for tomorrow... can def see me getting excited for Christmas eves to come playing Santa now that you say it

Christmas eve when the whole extended family get together.

Christmas is just immediate family and more intimate.

Eve definitely more fun, but both are special.
