The old old story about the Curtis family and LSU is that John Curtis was promised or thought he had offer to be assistant coach or something with LSU in 90s or something like that, it didn’t happen and he held a grudge.

My dad knew JT very well he said no bad blood with the Curtis family and LSU but they don’t do anything to help LSU either and we kinda hands off on recruiting with their players going to whatever college they like.

On the other hand, many of my family members that were also coaches said bullshite and there was definitely bad blood

Yea it’s obvious they’re all butt hurt about something

There will always be kids who just want to go elsewhere. It is what it is.

But to act like someone abused your child bc they didn’t pay enough attention to you or offer you fast enough and then spam that schools message boards for the next year about it….yea that’s normal.

John Curtis has been an LSU pipeline.

JT has nephews that were walkons at LSU, too.

There is no bad blood.

He's a minor, I think talking shite about a kid is for weaklings personally.

But yeah, call a 17 year old a pussy on a message board behind an anonymous username, you're not scared of anything lol.

Lol right. Bc people never talk shite about own players who are minors.

Guess that makes most posters weaklings

And yes I’d say it to him, you, or uncle Jess.

Kinda funny how our own players are fair game even though some of them may be minors but you’ve got people defending this kid and his family’s crusade of victimization against LSU.

Move on.

Nah. See this is the problem. Y’all get all gassed up about Tackett Curtis and LSU. For people that observe from afar, kind of just looks like fans pissed off about Tackett recruitment and vice versa with Many coach. Y’all have created a shite storm over one recruit that people like me have to start a thread asking if there is any legs to Many hating LSU other than the Tackett situation. And yet y’all still can’t name anything other than Tackett Curtis.

It makes sense now.

What does this have to do with Jess Curtis?

That’s what my stepdad said, he always said he felt like high school coaches in Louisiana owed it to LSU as Louisianas premier football school or other Louisiana schools to make sure players gave them good hard look, but he didn’t ever pressure kids. He said some coaches didn’t believe that at all, for varying reasons

Somehow you've strayed into the LSU RECRUITING Board, Kathy!
Hmmmm... Spank? Stroke? You might be fun!
Find your way back to the Betty Crocker board, dude.

The same dudes butthurt about a kid leaving the state are thrilled to have a 5* dlineman from Maryland in this class.

Calling a kid a pussy without any knowledge of the situation is pathetic. Like I said in my original post honestly I don't get the obsession with this young man. I think Ausberry is the bigger Miss and I don't see a major difference between him and Whit Weeks

Many and Coach Curtis though a few of the prospects they had in the past, should have received LSU offers. Turns out none of them have been very productive in college, I would include Tackett in this group. Unless he plays MLB, he’ll struggle in D1

I think AJ Carter was the first. He was a running back that was being nationally recruited around 2016/17. Rumors were he and Many were upset that Les and LSU weren’t recruiting him as hard as other out of state schools. He committed to UCLA during his Junior year.

Orgeron came in and repaired the relationship. Carter actually was briefly committed to LSU at one point. He decommitted from multiple schools during his recruitment, and I think ended up signing with Arizona State.

He ended up at McNeese a couple of years ago.

Myron Warren was another one. He signed with Texas, but is no longer in Austin. Looks like he transferred to Texas St.

This isn’t a bad thing for a HS program, but they really work out and so many of their guys have reached their athletic peak. They also play a bully style of football that is pretty straightforward. The kids don’t have a big knowledge base, or have much more growth. I think they wanted a few of the kids in the past 10 years to be recruited by LSU. The fact that they didn’t stay at ASU or UT shows that some kids have trouble once they leave the HS level. I wish all Louisiana kids all the success in the world. I hope the west coast works out for Tackett.

Many has some players from time to time.

Winfield used to have some good players. Not sure what happened there. Don’t know if a mill closed and the people left or they just don’t get those big athletic kids in school or on the field anymore.

The kid is big at the high school level (Tackett) but will be average at USC
