It’s the ole “would you rather 15:3 or 40:20?” The former looks better while the latter produces a greater number of points even if every pick is an opponent TD.

However the caveat is this doesn’t account for TD drives with significant passing that end up being punched in on the ground. Which I will say for JD seemed to happen often.

So you’d have to come up with some sort of analytic that compares TD throws AND drives with INTs multiplied by some factor that represents average points off turnovers. Which I’m sure some some nerds somewhere have done.

What if he throws INTs inconsistently?

You people can’t be serious!

I saw an offense in desperation mode full out chunking the ball bc we were down by 30. I saw a defense in base coverage bc they didn’t gameplan for the all out passing and 5 step drops with deep routes.

And I saw a QB (who’s dad is a QB coach) with a very fast release and nice arm, throw several touchdowns, two of which should have been intercepted. And he turned the ball over twice in addition to that. He throws 50% of his passes where they should not be going, once defenses scheme for him he’s going to be Jarret Lee if he doesn’t stop that shite. Disguise the coverage and change up looks, and his arse is going to be throwing to the other team more than our receivers. There’s a reason the coaches went with JD5.

You people act like he was Aaron Rodgers out there. Get a grip on reality.

What if that 1 INT is a pick six in a game where the opponents’ offense also scored 4 TDs and we lose because of it? Do you know football?

Do you? How does your scenario compare to scoring one TD, fumbling, turned into a scoop and score?
Turnovers are usually bad. However a long pass intercepted on third down, is no worse than failing to make a first on third down, and punting.

Can people just STFU about it already? He's never even started a game, yet you people are expert evaluators determining how his career will go. I'll just trust whatever decision BK, Sloan and Denbrock make. A young player can't even play a full game before you MFers start ripping them to shreds.

This. The UGA game is no comparison to an SEC dog fight where 1 INT makes the difference between a W and an L.

What we saw was a guy who has “it”. When you watch enough football, you just see it in a QB.

Same thing happened at Clemson this year. It happened with Davey in 2000. The ultimate example is Brady replacing poor Bledsoe. Sometimes the backup really IS better.

Wonder what Coach saw? Has he pulled his scholarship? Maybe he believes he can coach him out of it.
After four years they are still trying to coach Daniels into throwing the ball.

Some people think Nuss is a redshirt freshmen with zero starts who looks exactly like that from time to time … but they also see someone who flashes fairly substantial upside too. It’s not hard to understand.

I actually agree with them, but he’s got to have at least one game without a bad int, which he hasn’t

Jaayden, never threw it. Can't have turnovers if you don't throw it....

He’s got to have at least one game where he gets first team reps and starts.

Hope is that he would settle down once he knew the job was his. Currently, he has nothing to lose but if he can keep his receivers happy, has everything to win.

You know Walker doesn’t have this problem? Not sure anyone knows this. Also makes you wonder how many TD’s we left on the field with JD taking sack after sack. Maybe you get 3 or 4 TD’s and 1 or 2 picks. I could live with that. Green Bay did pretty good when Favre had stats like that.
