I like the sentiment. I am tired of the injection of politics into random events or topics
But having looked at the PT board that place is not for me (if anyone).
I am interested in what current events are going on and wonder about the feasibility of a current events board which is intended to be non political. I know that's difficult but perhaps threads which became political could be moved to PT?

I would ask that before a thread got moved to the PT, moderators erred in the side of caution by dealing with people trying to make a current event post more political on a case-by-case basis.
As soon as a thread gets moved over to PT, kiss any meaningful discussion goodbye.

Let me guess, our resident leftists have been complaining because they are seeing posts they don't like. They can't defend the shift leftist policy because it's untenable so they have come together to convince you to remove political talk from the OT.
Bad move Chick. It's going to be impossible to separate regular discussion from politics. There will be lots of borderline posts and the moderation of that will fall along political lines. Sound familiar cough cough twitter.

As a rule of thumb I wish people filled with the urge to say all ________ are dumb, racist, groomers, homophobic, stupid or whatever would intuitively understand those comments belong on PT or Facebook instead of a non political TD board.
