Sounds like the 3rd Amendment with more steps.

Maybe they will think twice about illegally entering houses.

Hopefully this applies to all state and federal agents.

A house is a person’s castle. If it is illegal entry, the cop should have no more legal protection than a common burglar.

That should not require a law…anyone who enters your home illegally should be fair game.

I would think it's legal in any state to pop any cop in the head who is FAFO'ing

How does someone know if cops are entering illegally? Say they have a warrant? You can yell you have a warrant but what if person inside doesn’t hear you?

Maybe they’ll start double checking addresses before doing no knock raids in the middle of the night now

Why does this need to be a law and not just an understood and accepted civil liberty?

Good. I don't want police getting comfortable kicking in doors without consequences. The is America mother frickers! We don't need no gestapo tactics by police. "You no obey, we kick down your door and drag you arse to jail."

Seems like common sense.

Can I assume Indiana does not permit no knock warrants? Otherwise a legal entry can look like an illegal one.

Well since everyone has pointed out that it's a 7 year old law, any examples of it being applied?

I'm good with it. Come correct or don't come at all.

Why would this have to be a law? Unlawful is unlawful regardless of who it is.
