I know we have some connoisseurs lurking on this forum.

Where are the best around here:

A: In EBR Parish?

B: in the contiguous parishes?

I don’t know about here, but in Georgia near Callaway Gardens there is a place where I got a huge box for about $3.50 a few years back. So good.

New Roads: Pablo's Chevron. He does livers. Probably does a gizzard dinner too. If not, get the livers

Any Birdie's Food Store in St. Charles/St. James Parish is usually a good bet.

Brothers is good around New Orleans.

Rende's in Sorrento used to be awesome, but the cook left. And same goes for Louisiana Sportsman in Robert.

I've had widely mixed results from various Church's. Only one really good tender. I have had a few that were like chewing on a piece of fried thick boot sole leather.

Bruh. North Foster just north of Florida. Deplit's Chicken Shack is an institution. It's the oldest continuously running business in Baton Rouge and the chicken is the freaking bomb.

I’ve never been treated with anything but kindness and respect. I bring my kids and we often eat there.

Lafourche Parish has to be Jay's Quick Stop on the corner of 308 and 182. I think he boils them with a little crab boil. Very tender but crispy crust. And cheap. Just ask for an order of gizzards and you'll get about a 15pc for 3 dollars.

St. Mary parish I like Danny's FC. Not as tender as Jay's though.

Find a Krispy Krunchy Chicken sign (A Louisiana Food Franchise Company) at a gas station, and try them around lunchtime. They have excellent chicken and probaby good gizzards.

Best fried chicken I have had always came froma gas station.

Lots of them in Louisiana

Yeah they're everywhere down here. Got one less than a mile from my house. Never saw gizzards there because I woulda tried 'em. Not saying KK doesn't do them, just that the one by my house has never had 'em.
