Yikes. Luckily for Nebraska this didn’t happen a week ago. What a PR nightmare even for the interim. Not sure if Rhule was gonna retain him, but he’s sure not now. I wonder what sort of effect this might have on his LA recruits.
I hope this isn’t as terrible as it sounds. This kinda thing is gonna be almost impossible to come back from. He’s about to go from making hundreds of thousands a dollars a year, to unemployed, to maybe a high school gig in a year or 2. Sucks for all involved.

He had a clause built in to his current contract that said he'd get paid 2 years salary (in this case, $1.2 million) if the new coach chose not to retain him. But if he's found guilty, Nebraska will be off the hook because he'll be terminated with just cause. Ouch.
I remember hearing something about him being a "peeping Tom" back in HS/college and that there was an incident that was covered up by Osborne? Osborne said it was a misunderstanding and Mickey was trying to get into the girl's apartment to get a course syllabus

Rumor was that Rhule was prepared to offer him a spot as WR coach/recruiting coordinator, but that Mickey's wife wanted him to get his salary increased to $1-million+ (some said her target number was 1.5 mil) and that Rhule wasn't willing to go that high. Wonder if that had anything to do with it? Maybe he wanted to accept Rhule's low-ball offer and she said no?
