Apparently I have become allergic to deer in the last couple years. My typical allergy pill doesn’t seem to do shite to help. Anybody found anything that helps with this?

Allergic to eating deer meat or contact allergies when cleaning deer?

My bad. Allergies to the hair. Cleaning deer gets me sneezing and red itchy eyes quick.

I have the same issue. I just make sure i don’t touch my face and go take a shower after I’m done putting away the meat. That has helped a lot. I imagine wearing rubber gloves and disposing afterward would help too, but never felt the need to go that far.

Prayers for you baw.
I didn’t know that being allergic to deer was a thing but it’s now one of my top fears, right along side being Allergic to.
Bacon, p@ssy, deer

I have the opposite problem. Every time I go in the woods, the deer all start sneezing at me.

Deer allergies
This may be the dumbest thing I have ever typed....probably is.
I don't have this issue. But I used to have a bad issue with pollen. One day I just wiped some off the hood of my truck and ate it. I don't have the issue with pollen anymore.
Wive's tale...maybe. Stupid, most likely
But maybe try consuming a little bit of the hair.
If your crazy enough to do it. I hope it doesn't kill you. Might want to have an epipen on standbye.

My brother gets it really bad,
My son 12 killed a doe this week, and we have been discussing him being more involved in cleaning deer. He did a really good, job i would say he completed about 70% of the skinning. Not 30 mins after his eyes turned red and he was miserable, I felt bad for him, he was really looking forward to that next step. I think next deer, gloves long sleeve shirt then shower

It could absolutely be an allergy to mites that live on the deer, and not the deer hair itself. Mites are strong environmental allergens. Now, doesn't change what the treatment or prevention might be, which is to avoid exposure or take an antihistamine BEFORE exposure.

I actually had a reaction to red meat, deer mostly, for several months. It stopped, thankfully, and we think it must have been one particular deer must have eaten a lot of something different that didn't work for me. I'm good now, hope it doesn't happen again.
