Genesis GV80?

My wife wants one. I drove my aunt’s GV80 last week. Smooth riding machine. I really like it.

Yeah, I think he was trying to say that he would only buy it if it were built by Honda or Toyota. The way he said it was confusing

For the price, I felt like the bmw x5 had more to offer. The screen is really nice on the GV80. I was disappointed in the pickup on the baseline GV80.

In most segments, any Genesis is a clear winner, but in the GV80's world, it's really hard to recommend anyone against an X5 or a Q7, both of which are roundly excellent vehicles. Just my 2 cents.

What about when cost of ownership is factored in? I love the looks of that Genesis. BMWs look pretty cool too though.

I would think the X5/Q7 are good. I don't have the stats or numbers in front of me but they've both been pretty much unchanged since about 2018, so I assume they're as good as they're going to be by now. They should both be good cars as long as you don't get anything weird and spacey like a plug-in hybrid or something.

My best friend has had one for about a year now. That thing is fricking tits. He compared and drove the equivalent Lexus and Audi and said the GV80 was an easy pick. Apparently Lexus’s tech package is stuck in the last decade and his research led him to believe that the Q series ends up in the service department often. Genesis has the same warranty on their vehicles as Hyundai at 100k miles. The v6 turbo moves and the thing has an autopilot assist similar to what I guess Tesla has. $70k+. Not what I would spend but I can see the value.

Genesis is for people that like luxury.
BMW is for people that think they are Baby Driver.
Mercedes is horribly overpriced for what you get.
Having been to Seoul a bunch, Genesis is a sexy arse vehicle. Maybe too much sexy for you. The Koreans nearly exclusively use Genesis as their "black cars" for transport.
