frick this man

The 2010 and 2014 World Cups were so perfect. So so so perfect from a production point of view and Bob Ley and tItalian Tirico hosting and actual former soccer stars Gilberto, Ballack, etc.

fricking hate the production level

She doesn’t work for Sky anymore at all

Couldn't care less about anything you just bitched about.

Now on the other hand, the shitty arse Fox Sports App on Roku gives me an error every 15 minutes and stops the stream saying I’ve exceeded the account limits even though no one else is using the account. Have to hit the back button and simply start the stream again. fricking irritating. It’s been doing this for months.

Guess I have to download the BBC app and stream that instead. The Fox coverage really is poor

Ian Darke should be the only person allowed to call USA games

I mean another reason ESPN having rights is better. Plus better commentary and a better feed. So yeah, you kinda do somewhat care about what I'm bitching about

LOL at Fox not even having a post-match show. They go straight from final whistle to women's basketball.

How the frick are they so bad at this?

To be fair, the feed would be exactly the same if it was ESPN.

This isn’t fox’s fault. FIFA changed the start date of the World Cup from tomorrow to today a month ago. Qatar was supposed to play tomorrow. FIFA last minute decided to move them to their own stand alone day, as is tradition.

No idea why they took so long to decide that.

But the change put it on NFL Sunday. So big Fox was already carrying NFL. So they had to put it on FS1, and already had commitments to cbb after game.

So in short, blame FIFA. Fox will have postgame after after every other game in tournament

It was more than a month ago. Even so, that is more than enough time to figure something out.

And they did, they had a 2 hour pregame and full match. I think it’s reasonable compromise, all things considered

You're under the impression they weren't going to have the two hour pregame show before?

It's the World Cup, you have to go all out.

Commentary was just fine b/c I have no idea who was announcing b/c I don’t watch soccer to listen to announcers. If I don’t notice them, then they did their job.

And the feed was spectacular. 10xs better picture than the Amazon prime Thursday night football games.
