Dude, I know it's late, but you're saying Shinkansen broke the sound barrier.
Max speed on any Shinkansen line is 320 Km/h which is about 200MPH. I've been on Korean trains that do that speed to nowheresville, and if you're on the train, it's underwhelming. I'm not going to stand within five feet of a track that has a similar speed rolling through though.

I think what IT Dawg was saying is that if you go to the link he posted, it shows the train passing at 199 mph. Then by someone speeding up the video, it simulates what double, quadruple etc speed would look like. He is saying that what the OP posted was the (simulated) 1280km/hr version.

I’m saying, your video is sped up 4x. My link shows you what the train going 199mph really looks like…..then 2x, 4x, etc
And it’s not late….it’s early. I’ve gotten 7 hours of sleep cause I fell asleep at 8:30

I made the mistake of starting Top Gun Maverick five minutes ago (yes, at 0300). I'm not thinking that hard, but I found a Georgia fan I don't dislike. That's rare.
I'm not overthinking it. Although I would enjoy a train that could break the sound barrier, that would be insane.

Heh, I wish I was in a foreign land. North of Atlanta in the burbs. Just had a busy day and fell asleep after putting the kids to bed. Can’t fall back asleep after 7 hours. Not much else to do in the house but lay here and try not to think about real life stuff for a few more hours….why I love the OT :)

Wife takes the ICE train daily. Turns a 2 1/2 hour drive into 55 minutes with 2 stops. When you are sitting in them you don't realize how fast it is going ,but when you turn your head and look directly out the window you can see it.
