Shea and Matthew Brune do a podcast together every Monday, and Shea's words "I expect Jayden to be back."

They kind of went down the rabbit hole of from what Shea has heard Jayden will not be participating in Senior night this weekend and the "rumblings" are that he's coming back next year.

He still needs to develop. He needs to come back.

I wonder what Jamie Howard is going to have to say about Jayden coming back, if in deed he does.

Think he’d have to be. His bad games were likely still too bad to get drafted really high.

I fully expect him to comeback, he really isn't an NFL QB yet in my mind, needs another year with Kelly.

Nuss will transfer I think.

Walker Howard would be a fool to transfer, he would get all of the backup snaps next year and running QBs to tend to get nicked up. Would have a totally clear path to starting for 1-2 years after that unless Rickie Collins is just unreal.

Today CBK said they would be honoring 17 Seniors at Senior day this Saturday. If you look at the roster on LSUsports.net, there are 17 Seniors/Grad Students with JD being a Jr.

Hopefully Jayden will benefit the way Hendon Hooker and Max Duggan have. I fully expect Howard to get plenty of mopup action.

Nuss will hit the portal. Lots of talent but his mental state is not what BK desires in a QB.

Walker's out then. In this league, with the current NIL money getting thrown around and the ability to transfer, you establish yourself early or risk sitting and getting passed up by someone else down the road.

With continued development of the Offensive line, next year Jayden could bring a National Championship. Walker could step in the following year and provide one also in 2024 (if healthy, our O-line should be stellar).

I'm no NFL scout, but you'd have to be blind to not see the deficiencies he has in the passing game. He does seem to be progressing, but he's nowhere close at the moment.

I would think he wouldn't be drafted in the top 4 rounds right now. I realize that's harsh, but I think it's reality.

That seems like a wise decision.

Shea has been just about 50/50 on every prediction for the last 20 years dont know why anybody takes him at his word.

He's nowhere near NFL level. Too many bad games, misses a lot of open receivers, makes bad throws when they are open, and he is slow to make a decision.

If true I’d expect Nuss to go transfer maybe closer to home like SMU or North Texas

JD5 / Walker Howard / Rickie Collins

Short of us winning the Natty - which would mean his passing has at least flashed NFL caliber - of course he is. Would you draft this guy?

Nuss walks right in the door and takes over QB at UTSA. Good Coach/Program that Coach Doug is prolly familiar with.

I agree he will probably return. But he has to know that Walker is right on his heals. There is a chance WH could beat him out!

There are going to be a lot of teams looking for a QB in the portal with Notre Dame being one of them. I am not saying he leaves but they are going to court Howard big time to come be the starter next year.
