Better yet, our project managers like to walk in my office and say I have customer x on the line, you have a minute to talk with them? Hell no, at least have the intelligence to warn me, let me gather some information on what they may be asking and prepare for a minute. Happened last Friday. Hate getting blindsided.

Just about every time I go to the company bathroom to take a piss their is some nasty frick in there giving birth to a dead gopher rat.
It's like everyone holds their shite until they get to work. I drink my coffee and go through my early morning shite inducing calisthenics and take a deuce at home before leaving.

Office pet peeves (what's yours?)
1. Pen clicking
2. Ghetto nails typing
3. Loud typers
4. Use of ASAP in an email
5. Loud coffee sippers
6. Overtalking on the phone
7. Personal calls in the office

I had a boss who had to have spent 1/4 of his time on these. If my teammates experience was anything like mine it was a big waste of time. What made it worse is having to come up with an agenda for these things. It was just another meeting that should have just been an email.

Laughing and lolly-gagging when there's actual work to be done, then getting blamed for not working when I politely respond to a talker.
Good posts, but I'm glad I don't work with some of you frickers!
Addendum: I used to hate the clacking heels, but now if she's remotely attractive it reminds me of strippers when they clack 'em together

When I used to work in an office - hearing someone clipping their nails. I’d just about vomit. I was looking for a reason to leave the office
Even shutting the door didn’t help because I knew that nasty crap was still happening

I only require my direct reports hop on a Teams call bi-weekly. They’re on Friday morning and last usually 30 min to an hour. As for doing 1 on 1 meetings, unless there is a specific reason to do so, like annual performance reviews or something similar, I don’t require them. I’ve found it’s better to get the team together for a quick huddle then let them go do their job.
ETA: my direct reports work in the field ranging from Tennessee to the gulf coast. So I rarely see them face to face unless either I’m traveling or they’re in B’ham.

Had a cricket in my office once. Nearly drove me insane. Tore the office apart looking for it and never did find the damn thing.

People who are upset when co-workers take PTO. If your workload increases substantially while I'm enjoying my earned time off, take it up with management.

People who exaggerate/lie on a re-told story to make themselves look good or to sway an argument when you know the exact details of the story and you're standing right there.

These food obsessed women who spend the better part of each and every morning trying to decide collectively where they are going order their lunch for the day.

Have seen that happen more than once.... esp in chains that haven't been clipped of earlier messages...
