Not the best, but would have loved to have seen what Dominick Davis could do in the NFL after rookie year.

One that Bama fans remember would be Joe King. Crazy strong freak.

Cecil the Diesel Collins. I can’t think of a bigger waste of talent.

Listening to Joakim Noah talk about Derrick Rose on JJ’s podcast made me go back and watch some highlights. Sick athlete & player

Had all that natural talent you could want but squandered it because he was a flake and didn’t give a shite

Jahvid Best did incredible stuff at Detroit until concussions cut his career short.
You forgot Greg Moore. Signed to drive for Penske in 2000, he died in the last race of the season in 1999.

Matt Jones had some issues when he was in the NFL not to mention being with a bad franchise.

He's not a what could've been. He's probably GOAT athlete.
How about "Robo QB"? Todd Marinovich?
Broke the national high school record by passing for 9,914 yards in high school powerhouse Mater Dei (Matt Leinart, Bryce Young, John Huaurte - 3 Heisman Trophy winners from one high school)...and Matt Barkley.
Long after Marinovich's professional career had ended, an ESPN columnist named the elder Marinovich one of history's "worst sports fathers".
I don't want to be Todd Marinovich.
— Marinovich, during his first year at USC
And then drugs. And Cocaine and stopped playing after his Sophomore season.
But he was so good, the Raiders drafted him ahead of Brett Favre in the 1991 NFL draft.
What could've been if his Dad wasn't so controlling and made Todd rebel. I mean he wasn't allowed to eat a Hamburger or Pizza until he was on his own at College.

I was really tempted to add the Kid. One of the greatest and could have been even greater. His bombs are still unmatched today.
Good call Tom

Buster Douglas
As talented and athletic as any HW boxer in the 90's.
Put it all together against Tyson but ultimately the desire and dedication wasn't there
