McConnell's part in the "Red Trickle"

So there has been a lot of talk saying the lack of a red wave is because of DJT's endorsement.
I can understand this and I think there might be some truth to it. The candidates weren't the best and DJT's king maker status has been tarnished a bit.
But McConnell shouldn't be left out of the convo as to why this was a Red Trickle instead of a Red Wave. He stopped financially supporting senate races involving Trump candidates. I'm not sure of the totals and exactly where Mitch funneled money but it happened and there have been stories on it. So he needs to be blamed with this as well.
Mitch diverts funds from Trump candidates, those GOP candidates lose, it tarnishes Trump, Mitch stays in power.
So I'm fine with Trump getting some blame but Mitch needs to blamed as well and I haven't heard anybody in the media or conservative media discussing this.

His pulling money from Masters to pimp Murk over another GOP candidate is egregious.
Turtle needs to go.
Turtle needs to go.

It’s really not DJT’s fault the Republican Party had no message for the American people. That’s straight up McConnell, McCarthy and Rhonda’s fault. Terrible leadership brings terrible results

Sure, and he is partly to blame for this epic failure. This was set up for a Red Tsunami... First term POTUS, mid term election, Biden's economic performance, interest rates, approval rating, crime, and war.
Mitch is the leader of the Senate, and he may lose a seat. The house should have been 40 to 60 seat swing...
Time for new leadership.

This is exactly right.
Mitch would rather a democrat win than a MAGA Republican.
He wants no part of this movement and wants the Bush days back.

Trump deserves ALL of the blame for picking shitty candidates whose most redeeming quality is fealty to Trump and going along with his narrative on the 2020 election. McConnell knew his picks were shite and would likely lose
It also doesn't help that Trump keeps publicly insulting him and his wife so why the frick would Mitch help Trump.
Mitch is a swamp creature but is the most powerful Republican in DC and the most skillful legislator we have and Trump was an idiot by making McConnell an enemy instead of trying to co-opt him and try to do business.
Get your head out of your arse. Trump is the problem.

Yeah, I'd argue that Trump is more a symptom of the utter vacuum of leadership in the current national GOP than he is a cause. Of course, it's convenient for the weak kneed worms like McConnel to allow people to believe he's the cause, though.

Mark Levin Twitter:
1. I have nothing against Karl Rove. I met him once or twice in passing. But he's a predictable mouthpiece for the GOP establishment and, respectfully, is often wrong in his prognostications.
2. His attack in the WSJ on Trump as the fall guy for Tuesday's disappointing outcome is more of the same. Many of the candidates for whom Rove raised funds and worked with McConnell to promote did quite poorly.
3. And the funds McConnell, et al, spent in Republican primaries smearing MAGA or non-establishment candidates was very destructive. Too many in the establishment put their own lust for power ahead of the best interests of the GOP and, ultimately, the country.
4. As for the quality of candidates, the Democrats nominated some truly horrific candidates who had records of trashing the country, support for releasing criminals, ties with radical leftists, etc. -- that is, their candidates were, in many cases, disasters.
5. Rove, McConnell, the GOP establishment, etc., have a bad habit of attacking the GOP's base. They did the same after the red tsunami in 2010, when the Tea Party delivered over 60 GOP seats to the House.
6. They blamed the Tea Party for choosing poor candidates in the GOP Senate primaries; otherwise, it was contended, the GOP would have picked more Senate seats. Truth be told, this crowd was also anti-Reagan decades ago, and supported Gerald Ford, another electoral disaster.
7. It's time for McConnell and this gang to go. They take credit for raising and spending hundreds of millions of dollars and then blame conservatives (the base) when their efforts fall short. We don't need any lectures from them.

Fuk the Turtle. He didn’t want to be the Majority Leader, and actively worked to be sure he didn’t have to.

Levin knows.
He’s advocated removing McConnell the entire time.
McConnell and the other bush lites hated the tea party movement when we did have a red wave in 2010, too.

So you acknowledge the GOP stopped the red wave but still think Trump is also to blame?

It’s an above average case of TDS.
I recommend a quarantine.

Whether you look at a single-dimension spectrum or a Nolan chart, a moderate Republican aligns more-closely with a moderate Dem than with someone out on the far Right fringe of the GOP. Just as a moderate Dem aligns more-closely with a moderate Republican than with a nutcase like AOC.
A rational political animal prefers working with someone whose ideology aligns more-closely with his own over someone who wears the same randomly-assigned team jersey.

Our point is they need to go. Seems pretty clear. Time for new leadership.
McConnell is a failure.

Of course it is when the GOP spends millions to run against his picks. It should tell you what side they are on. shite he gave Alaska millions in support of a old hag that said she would vote democrat all to keep Trumps nominee out

Thank you, Hank.

What he did in AK is shameful.

It's pretty clear they were okay with losing the election if it meant they could blame Trump and get rid of him for good. It's surprising so many don't see that with the way they acted before and after the election.
