Emery played lights out Saturday. Good moves, good power. I have a feeling he is gonna be a huge factor against Arkansas. He and Williams should get some yards this week. Is he now our premier back like we wanted him to be all along?

We’re not going to have a premier back this year nor do we need one. Williams/Emery/Goodwin has been plenty good

Love Goodwin when he's healthy. He can take it to the house!

We have a good stable of backs for sure. I’m just excited about Emery. He’s been missing and I think he’s ready to break a couple of fantastic runs. I’m calling for a long one for him Saturday.

Outside of our OL, our running backs have been the biggest surprise. They are a really good group right now. They get the tough yards and move the chains.

He has two more years if he wants them.

I would say Cain has done pretty well also when given the opportunity. His one carry Saturday was a blown up play from the get go.

Give me Williams. That guy has shown himself to be the best of this fairly good bunch.

I believe surprise #1 contributes to surprise #2

He really is a bad MFer. Loved the way he said "frick you I'm not going out of bounds" on that TD.

Also, His TD catch/run in Florida was really underrated b/c it looked so routine. But He made that look a lot easier than it was.
Watch it a few times and notice how far he turned back to catch the ball(bad throw). Average RBs will catch that and get hit before they can regain direction and accelerate.
But Emery, in one seamless move, turns and and accelerates through a tackle for the score. He's very smooth.

Emery's TD in Gainesville

It really is.
Josh Williams may be the best Pass Blocking RB I can recall in last 10-15 years. I could be wrong but Josh seems to really enjoy flipping DB's on their heads when they come around the end on blitzes and don't see him there ready to wreck their shite while protecting Jayden.

Frank Wilson is underrated as a RB coach. Recognized as a great recruiter but overlooked as a coach. LSU backs have always performed well under him
