True or false?

I can’t believe that any of these shows have the viewership that they do.
But, I say this as someone who’s watched Jersey Shore from the beginning.

I sometimes watch shows like this to check out odd locations I can visit when driving around the country. Other than that, they’re exactly what the OP describes (although there is one show with black guys running and screaming
).

ALL "found footage" movies are like that, which is why I have yet to see one that I didn't hate

That's because having a black guy go into a supposed haunted building would be too unbelievable.

Ghost Adventures was honestly pretty entertaining in the early years. They actually captured some compelling video, but mixed in a healthy dose of skepticism and comedy.
They had one investigation in a supposedly haunted lighthouse which ended up being a dud where nothing happened. They even called the episode "Cape Disappointment".
It has tailed off a lot though. Much of the "evidence" they get is soft and Zak takes himself too seriously at times.

I’m a Ghost Adventures junkie. Say what you will but they have captured some crazy shite on audio and video over the years.

I remember when Ghost Hunters first became a thing it was fun as hell. We all became amateur ghost hunters going to whatever supposedly haunted places we could find nearby. But it got old pretty quick when you realize it's all bull shite

Yep both of the hosts were. Bald guy was an a-hole too and had a lot to do with turning me off of that show

That's different. Ghosts are highly unlikely to exist. Ridiculous caricatures of human beings that constantly fight and frick, on the other hand, are very much alive and well

Yea, he really was.
I think he thought he was a badass.

I remember when Ghost Hunters first started they would try to disprove the activity and a lot of times they did....then is became they found something in every location.
The other thing is why do I need a camera pointed at the investigator and not what they are looking.

False. Many times, Zak Bagans has yelled, “What’s that, BRO?!”.
I’d always chuckle when he’d call a spirit a “bitch” when trying to stir them.
Zak once lifted his shirt to show scratches down his back supposedly made by an angry poltergeist. I told my wife they were probably left by some whore, the night before.
…Does anyone recall a short-lived ghost hunting show that aired locally out of Baton Rouge and was hosted by a hot chick? This must’ve aired about ten years ago…

Captured...is a generous term.
Created?
The guy who wrote Amityville Horror for Ed and Lorraine Warren said the Warren's just told him...all these people who call us about supernatural or paranormal activity and such...they're just crazy people, so write whatever.
In the Reality TV show scene...ghost/paranormal shows they might as well put Real Housewives of Atlanta in a "Haunted Mansion" and let them argue over which ghost stole their husband.
