You're getting killed, but I kind of agree. When people say TE I assume they mean "positionless player" like Taysom Hill and not an actual TE (except more out wide/in the slot with some amount of reverses+wildcat rather than primarily wildcat with some amount of out wide), because he's probably going to Michigan and not us if he's willing to actually play TE. If you're expecting Mason Taylor except faster, don't get your hopes up. Our big selling point to him is that no program is in our stratosphere as a combined track+football school. If he decides to focus on football (which being a true TE would be), then he's probably going to Michigan where he'll also get top rate development, plenty of NFL interest, and have a much more prestigious degree (which he has consistently shown he cares about before you all jump on me over this).

Though Michigan not knowing what to do with him confuses me. Him just being WR1 would be a waste of talent, but he'd still be an absolutely elite WR1 assuming he can jump and the athletic freakishness doesn't end at being huge while still being a top rate sprinter. By all counts he's smart enough to learn other positions rapidly.

I know Miami was likely an outsider for Harbor, but word is he isn’t visiting them anymore.

I think he still has LSU and Maryland scheduled.

LSU trying to convince Defense..They are trying to sale that our new nutrition and strenghthing programs can keep him at Max potential for track while also playing defense....He is definitely intrigued..This really will come down to his official here. Jamar Cain is an absolute stud recruiter, and coach.

And babysitter.

He worked at Ohio as a GA under Jimmy Burrow and used to babysit Joe, in addition to attending Joe's games and making highlight reels of Joe's plays for Jimmy bc Jimmy couldn't attend Joe's games.

Apparently Georgia is in the mix and has an OV, December 17th. They were background bit players for him, guess they’ve provided some intrigue for him. Still anticipate an LSU-Michigan battle, with Terps, Gamecocks, and Dawgs on the outside looking in.

Awesome to know. With him and Joe and Jamarr doing what they doing in Cincy and the the guys on the Browns, maybe we can get some good guys out of Ohio.

Let him spurn the academics and next level development of Michigan and the accountability for education under CBK, plus football and track. Wish the kid the best in any case, but South Carolina would be a monumental mistake, think Luther Burden or a Rakim Jarrett. I still imagine he’s an LSU-Michigan battle with others looking on the outside in.

I think he’ll flourish wherever he goes. If it is USC, best of luck to him.

What?

WR is more valuable than TE...by a lot.

Most top TEs in the NFL are basically slot WRs today. You don't find many true 2-way guys (esp now that Gronk is gone).

That actually explains why South Carolina is even in the mix. I don't think this news changes much.

UGA is his way to being closer to his girlfriend. Schools are 2.5hrs away from each other.
