Ward should definitely help with the scoring in the starting lineup, looks like McMahon is going to trust KJ to take on the rebounding duties out the gate.
UMKC is a team you are going to outmatch physically and you are going to need your freshmen to perform...so you may as well start building experience now. Plus, Ward is a top 40 player (many sites had him as a top 25 guy for a long time). Reasonable or not, most of those guys feel they aren't going to stay in college long...so you may as well get what you can out of them in the short time they are here. Wade more or less started all of his 5 star guys immediately. 1 because they were good players. But second, because those guys tend to want to leave after one year...even if they are unlikely to be 1st round picks. If you think you are only going to have a talented player for 1 season it doesn't make a lot of sense to waste that year with him on the bench. At least play him early so if he is not cutting it you have film to show him why

I think ward or reed slides into that last spot by the time SEC play rolls around. Just might take some time to adjust from the high school game

This should be a deep basketball team. Plenty of transfers with major college ball experience with some top 75 freshmen. I like the mix.

Where do you see player props for this game? All I see are team props

FanDuel has points props for a few players; rebounds for Kopp (USMC) and KJ Williams; and assists for Justice Hill.

Hannibal and Ward stood out at last week’s scrimmage. Juice is def ring leader

Can't wait for the season to unfold.

KJ Williams looking for some of that NBA money next year. Let's see what he does in the SEC. I expect a 15 and 10 guy. He's very capable of averaging a double double.

Is Hannibal eligible?? Last i heard they were waiting for ruling or smthg? Did that ever come back?
Anyone have a good player comp for Juice?

Somehow it feels like WW is still the coach.

Boot Up
I Will Wade For You
The General was defeated in battle
It's the Matt McMahon era now
His dad took him to LSU Tenn game when he was 11 and he watched CJ lit up the Vols for 40+
A Tiger was born and now he is the LSU coach
Hopefully it's a nice attendance for the opener

I don’t think this opening day lineup has enough offense
Who is supposed to have higher PPG Avg's than Hill, Miller, and Williams to provide the extra offense LE?

I really wish we could have kept Brandon Murray and Alex Fudge
The ceiling on Fudge is off the charts and he had a nice opening game for Florida but I can understand he wanted to get closer to home
Murray is playing for a bad Georgetown team but he is a baller
I also wish Wade would have found a way to keep Jalen Cook the prior year

Is this going to be one of those early season cupcake games where LSU scores 90 + points and we all feel excited about the program until we reach SEC play ?

The only certainty with this game is there will be an overreaction regardless of the outcome
