Tennessee losing to UGA really hurt us

If Tennessee had beat them, we could’ve had a shot to avenge our loss against them in the SECCG. Now as Rece Davis said we are essentially “blocked” by them due to the really ugly home loss.

It’s fair tho. We got beat by them. Bad.

If LSU wins out they would get put in.

Agreed. Just saying if they beat UGA, we could’ve played ourselves into the playoff in the SECCG

I agree with that but it also rewards Tennessee for losing to Georgia instead of having a rematch in the SEC champ
Because we’d get in over Tennessee if we were to win an SEC championship game rematch

I can’t stand Rece but I kinda agree. We needed to avenge the loss
The problem is what do you do with us if we win out?
Are you gonna have us third out of UGA UT and us after we presumably just beat UGA?
are you going to leave out the SEC champ?
Are you going to leave out the champ and out in a team who didn’t even win their division?
It’s an odd scenario.
The cleanest thing is for state to shock the world and beat UGA. tenn to win out us beat Uga and then it’s UT and us

Not true. Undefeated TCU and a 1 loss PAC 12 champion in Oregon will be ahead of LSU easy.

Just keep winning. If you keep winning it will all work out.

Nah, Michigan or Ohio St will knock one or the other out. TCU, Oregon or USC will lose. It all shakes out.

Playoff is not going to happen, but I would love to put some salt on UGA’s burger.

People knew that our playoff hopes were gone when we got thrashed by UT at home. We've improved significantly, but that loss will influence where we go in the post season. We just weren't ready for UT's extremely fast paced offense and it showed

Would not beating the team that beat Tennessee not be vengeance?

You're not thinking. Oregon lost to UGA 49-3. If we beat UGA, that means we win by say 7 or 10 or so and Oregon lost to same opponent by 46. That will hold weight.

Tennessee and Georgia aren’t both going over us if we beat Georgia.
We’re going to jump Oregon and Tennessee if we beat Georgia. Because we’ll have beat the team that thrashed them most recently.

It helped us.
Georgia finishing 11-1 gets them 100% with a Tennessee loss.
I think Tennessee is done.

1. We are not blocked by anyone.
2. Tenn. better pray Oregon doesn’t win out. They will remain at 5 while Oregon jumps into the top 10 (after Ohio St. & Michigan beat each other up).

Without our LT and without #40 playing a defensive snap. That’s a big difference.

Guys, TN has nothing left on the year, and LSU would be in if (and that’s a big if) they beat UGA in the SEC Championship.
They’ll be sitting at home, while we pull off the upset of the year. The logic for LSU to be out would have to be:
1) LSU is out because it lost to FSU and Tenn more than 2 mos ago.
2) Then you go UGA v. UT. Are you telling me both get in because UGA v. UT, UGA has the all-important head to head and would be above UT. So you would put the SEC-runner up, and the SEC second runner up, above LSU, the SEC champion, who just beat the No.1 team in the country. Ain’t happening.
3) Of course, this is all dependent on TCU and/or Oregon losing.
