Every mayoral candidate was a registered “democrat “ here but you have to run as D to have a chance in a heavily black populated city like Alexandria, LA

Split ticket here, but mine is split every year. Some candidates are just more qualified for a particular office and there's usually a stray nutbar or two.

Wish I had the chance to vote against eye-patch mccain, but he's not my rep...

There was one local guy on my ballot is simply straight up nuts - like DePape looney, except on the right. Not a big race, and the Dem against him is actually reasonable.

Me. mainly skipped voting for Dan Crenshaw

I always vote the best of breed no matter what. Just because they are all republicans is just coincidence I guess
Posted on 11/8/22 at 5:53 pm to jbraua
I would never vote dem if there was another option, but I did vote republicans and one independent.

Envy you had the opportunity to do this

I made it a point to not vote for either major party, and if I had no choice I voted against the incumbent. Did not vote D at all.
If everyone did this, it’s how things would change, but they won’t.
Instead someone like Latoya Cantrell stays in power.

I did not vote party line. I voted for two libertarians on city council
Posted on 11/8/22 at 6:13 pm to jbraua
I voted for a couple of libertarians. Being a party nominee doesn’t automatically earn my vote.

First time in my life I was able to vote a straight party ticket: Libertarian. Proud moment.

Almost all R's but I wrote in Kanye a few times.
Can't wait for Ye to be on my Board of Ed.

I always vote Libertarian for State Auditor; reason should be obvious.

Me in Georgia
I voted R with two exceptions:
Meltz (L) over Ratfricker (R) and Nguyen (D) for SoS
Cowens (L) over Carr (R) and Jordan (D) for AG

Me.
There is a Republican in the Texas rep race for my district who was on the city council and pushed and voted to shut down businesses during Covid at threat of those business owners losing their business license.
He also voted with developers who wanted to put an eight story tall warehouse right across the street from, and directly adjacent to residential communities. There would have been hundreds of 18-wheelers in and out of there 24 hours a day.
frick.
That.
Guy.
That is the WRONG KIND OF REPUBLICAN to send to the state.
I voted for the Dem. First Dem I voted for in my entire life (except for Edwin Edwards against David Duke). I don't like the Dem, and I could have just not voted in that race. There wasn't another alternative, like a Libertarian, but I needed to send a message. He'll probably still win because there's an enormous amount of low-information voters who just don't pay attention. Anyway, I feel dirty for voting for a Dem, but I just could not give that piece of shite a vote.
