You are in OUR HOUSE. We are not here to lose.
It was the right call. He had the momentum. God bless em.

I hated the call at first. I thought it was suicide. Then as they were lining up, I thought, we are playing with house money. Win or lose, we almost took down Satan in a supposed rebuilding year. The screams in my house! I'm surprised the neighbors didn't call the cops.

I loved it. I thought we don't need deja vu of aTm. F it, let's win the darn thing right now!!!

I loved it. It's a coin toss but I think we don't match up as well an a short field. Our offense needs space.

I loved the call. I was mad when the TO was called because I thought BK might change his mind. I told my wife, win or lose, I love the call. Kelly learned from the Florida state game. Run with the momentum.
I'm so not used to coaches learning from past decisions and adapting if needed.

Go big or go home.
Some BAMA dbag with an LSU partner was trash talking me and said that Bama owned Tiger Stadium.
Well, we reclaimed our home.

I'm sure nick thought that call sucked,

We're at home with a chance to win. It was an easy decision IMO.

It was the right call.
What better chance do you have to win than from three yards out? Win it or lose it right there. frick all those variables and moving parts in another overtime series. No better chance to win than right there so you take it.
And CBK has to be thinking, you bypass the refs who had been fricking us all night. No way they throw a cheap flag on a spotlight play. With another whole series, they have plenty more chances to frick LSU.
Had we not converted and lost, I would have been disappointed and frustrated but in any case, going for two was the right call.

I did as it showed a lot of confidence BK had in his team after they played out of their minds all night. Year after year, we've seen them play way to cautiously against Bama. Go big or go home and to be honest, I don't think Bama was ready for that.

I think the best part is wining on a two point conversion right after Saban tried two of them and failed.

said fck it. Win or lose, I’m good with the call.
Actually said that to myself when i realized we were going on D 1st. If we are in a situation to win by going for 2 lets do it
Brian "Balls of steel" Kelly didnt disappoint. Was still nervous AF when we lined up tho

From the stands, I thought, “Brilliant tactic! You got Saban to burn his time out.”
Then, when we lined up the second time, I was like “What kind of Les Miles shite is this?”
All I can say now is that Coach Kelly has BIG ONIONS!
Geaux Tigers!

100% the right decision. I told my dad before the play that I liked the call regardless of the outcome. If Bama had gotten the ball back, that’s got “Bryce Young went to Death Valley and pulled a W out of his arse” written all over it. I’d rather risk a loss than have a single player on our defense beating themselves up because they were fatigued and got burned by some last minute heroics that they’d been stopping all game, after the way they played tonight. They did their job, they deserved a breather and they deserved this win.
Plus, we were going to have to start going for 2 anyway.

Terrible call Great result. You kick the extra point and play defense. I can see possibly why he went for it because of Bama getting some cheap calls from the refs but I still think you kick the extra point and play defense.

I commented when we scored that we didn’t even give our defense a breather. I thought it was a good call just for that reason alone. They were on their heels, go for the win.

I was surprised with the call, but did not feel like it was a mistake. Was just happy to be that close at the end of the game!

I’m gonna post before reading the thread so I’m not influenced by any other responses:
I didn’t “hate” it, but I strongly disliked it at the time. I was hoping after the timeout that BK would have changed his mind and come out and kicked it. Because, unlike FSU where I thought we were outplayed, I honestly thought we were simply better than Bama tonight, were kinda dominating their DLine at the end, and could have eventually won it straight up.
In hindsight, though, after scoring on the 1st play and what that had to do to them psychologically, how hard it was to stop them on 4 full downs (whether it be the yards or the refs), and that the decision had obviously been made and committed to beforehand**, I love the message it sent to the team, potential recruits, the fanbase, the media, etc…it was much less of trying to “steal one” from a superior team like it is when most teams take that chance, and more like “frick you, we’re better, we’re here to win not to “not lose,” try to keep us from getting 3 yards, motherfrickers.”
So obviously I love it now. I would have bitched if we hadn’t gotten it for a bit, but I didn’t hate it enough to marinate over it in misery for any length of time.
**what did BK say about it in the post-game? It looked like they were so committed to it that not only the decision had even made before the game, but probably the play. I’d be really interested to hear his thought process and who was in the decision-making circle. It clearly wasn’t a decision made on a whim.
By the way, re-watching Jayden score on the 1st play of OT and easing into the end zone like he does, looking back and telling the trailing defender 3 yards behind that he’s not sure where he’s going, but Jayden’s gonna be at the house, fired me the frick up. Our offense had to have so much confidence that 3 yards on 1 play to win (basically) the SEC West, was definitely the best play.

It was the right call. I was there in section 103. I've NEVER heard Death Valley like tonight. We yelled the entire game. We beat Bama AND the refs. We had to go for 2. Prolong it, and the refs would've swung the game for Bama. It was the right call. Love CBK for it!!
