So, what Bible passage is this sermon based upon?
Seriously, I feel sorry for people stupid enough to go to churches like this and think they're somehow going to find God and get closer to Him.

Wow, that "preacher" is a racist and certainly not a man of God.
I thought that there was a separation of church and state. I guess that only counts when you want to keep God out of matters of state, not when you want to keep the state out of the matters of God.

I love when blacks rip other blacks for disagreeing with them because if you don't think like me, you're an uncle tom and the white man has controlled you. Pretty racist to say certain people aren't allowed to think differently because of their skin-color.

i feel like that might have had some church and state violations if that was a church.
our state rep goes to my church and he's usually very careful to show up late and leave early during election season and tries to be lowkey. he'll talk about some local mission and outreach stuff he helps with during the year but he maintains radio silence outside of that. ironically, his advertisement is to the right of this as i'm typing.

I like how he was saying blacks in his congregation could think for themselves yet he was saying it in a stereotypical manner for a black preacher while chastising someone for essentially daring to not vote the same way the vast majority of blacks vote.
My guess is the irony was lost on him.
