For lsu to win they have to do one of two things:
1. Do what Alabama expects, but to such a perfect level that they succeed anyway
2. Completely surprise Alabama.

I guarantee Saban has mind-readers and psychologists training his team to know exactly what lsu is going to do every play.

Most LSU fans including myself were expecting Ole Miss to run a lot more vs LSU’s defense.

If most were thinking that then they did not do their homework or listen BK.

It was discussed that while OM ran for 460 on Auburn they passed for 450 the week before.

In last monday presser BK said Kiffin had excellent offensive play calling skills. If you lined up to stop the run then he would pass and vice versa.

On another note I did not realize Zach Evans was out last wk. I noticed the commentators said he was available but I dont think he played...

The main takeaway I have from Evans not playing was the rest had to do more plays.

Heavy doses of Gibbs in different looks. He’s very Kamara-esque and could gash us. Perkins is key!

Alabama will out play us in every fascet of the game. They are simply a better team with better talent. I think LSU competes, but they are just not equal yet.

While this seems logical, it’s not. LSU is a much different Tiger than the one that tangled with Tenn.

I expect the coaching to equal out and the game to come down to which team makes more plays in the 4th quarter.

Jahmyr Gibbs may be the best RB we’ve seen

Absolutely, but here's an interesting stat:
Gibbs has 98 carries for 672yds and 6 TDs
Daniels has 113 carries for 524yds and 9 TDs

Gibbs is averaging a little over 12 carries per game. Daniels has more carries although that includes scrambles and sacks. It still shows that Gibbs is being underutilized as a runner. He is a big part of their passing game too though. He's 1st at Bama for receptions and 3rd in yards. He needs to be keyed by House to slow Bama down.

Coaching wise, LSU has more of an advantage. We saw what adjustments LSU’s can make in a half on both sides of the ball, they have two weeks prepare. I’m excited to see how it all unfolds.

^^THIS^^

While it sucked watching the Tigers get into holes they had to dig out of in previous games, I think that sets us up well for the Bama game. Based on those previous games, LSU will never think they're incapable of winning unless there's an epic Tenner-sized beatdown going on next week.

Those previous come-from-behind wins and LSU's ability to make second-half corrections should (will?) be our ace in the hole. Because of that, I doubt that Bama will be able to "exert their will" on us and run us out of our own stadium.

If we keep it close, I think we win. I could be wrong, but if there's a year we can beat Bama, this is it.

Just my two pennies, yall.

Insightful post! Some LSU fans are expecting Bama to exert their will on LSU, that’s ancient history. Some of us expect LSU to do a little exerting of their own.

Set up to pass, trap the ends inside, then handoff, pitchout, or pass inthe flat to their speedy back.

Were are going to have to win the turnover margin, all those dropped Ints against Ole Miss aren’t going to fly, we have to capitalize on every opportunity.

Gibbs is a nice RB. I’d expect a heavy dose of that.
