Have you read this whole thread? Any rational person can see who is triggered and it ain’t me babe.

All you Marxist’s and far leftists can do is try to shout over people or otherwise silence any perceived dissent to your side. None of you have provided any true arguments or meaningful authority of this matter. Only the people who believe Mike should be on the field have provided authority and reason.

So to answer the original posters question, because far leftist, Marxist’s, and PETA have banded together to try to prevent our beloved living Mascot from enjoying his fall Saturday strolls and adoration because he should only ever be confined to his multimillion dollar abode right across the street while all of his predecessors have been able to grace the hollowed ground of Tiger Stadium.

Because the game day managers that bring you piped in music also think a red neck fire works show on the field is a good idea. The Tiger got scared of the fireworks and stop getting the cage. Now you have fireworks when the team takes the field.

Imagine eliminating the fireworks for a season. I bet mike would be curious about going in the stadium if it was just band noise and people.

I agree. Being scared of the fireworks is just another lame excuse.

I find it ludicrous that some believe the tiger can't hear the fireworks from his cage. If he's terrified of the noise, they need to stop them altogether.

Dogs kill more humans than tigers and lions combined each year. And the number isn’t remotely close.

Imagine using this as an argument that dogs are less safe than tigers and lions lol

They tried with this mike and he doesn't like the crowd. Didn't he chip a tooth or something once because of the crowd?

You act like the tigers would enjoy the “stroll.” Tigers are solitary animals. Hell, consider dogs being as tame and friendly as they are and most dogs would be freaking out if put in that cage and rolled out in front of that type of scene.

I grew up watching Mike carted around the field and TBH you can’t see but a shadow. You could put a rat on stilts aka A&M’s mascot in there and the crowd would t know the difference.

And that’s really the main thing honestly. Bringing him out there causes a big fuss and possibly causes the animal unneeded stress & potential health problems….and for what exactly? Yeah it’s a cool thing we used to do. I cheered for him too, but it’s not a big deal and not worth it anymore.

ETA: that picture sums it up perfectly. We’re cheering for a trailer essentially because nobody can really see him in there. Put the mascot in there if they want to.

CO State has a Ram... while not real scary, a ram is damn sure not domesticated.

USAF - falcon

Worth noting none of these can be or are known to be "man eaters"

UC Santa Cruz has a live banana slug mascot... definitely a wild animal, but one that's not usually dangerous to humans.

Let’s compromise. Here’s a great idea for the admin. Roll the cage around like the old days with the cheerleaders on top and put Mascot Mike in the cage. Let him out at the 50 yard line before the team runs out. Not the actual mike, the mascot one .

I can’t believe there are really fans that don’t want him brought in the stadium. I thought we all wanted him brought back in? The responses here are shocking to me. Quite sad.

It’s not the noise. It’s the bright flash of light/smoke.

It’s quite sad that grown arse men cry about not forcing a wild animal into a stadium.
