312This is the ONE tradition I wish they would bring back to Tiger stadium. If it's the PETA nutjobs who are forcing LSUs hand and not allowing this to happen, how come they don't raise a stink about all the other live mascots in college football that still take the field?!?!

Before you respond to this post saying one is a wild animal vs the other 2 are just mutts and livestock. Stop it. No one is asking for Mike to be paraded around on a leash. He IS a wild animal - hence he has a cage.

Yes that changed some years ago. They don't give the option at all anymore.

Ummm, that longhorn tried to gore a dog on the field. Mike never tried to eat UGA that I can recall.

I'm not sure if they are domesticated or not but you also have Ramses, Big Spur, Cam the Ram, Tusk, Stella, Aurora, and whatever eagle(s) Auburn has these days.
